Aia's POV
Today was just a normal day at school. Nothing much, a few whispers here, a few laughs there. But aside from that, all of us are zombies. Not the gross ones that chases you when they see you, we are civilized. It all started on that faithful day.

~•~💫Flashback💫~•~
"Okay everyone, on this day the scientists are here to test their newly made medicine on all of us so please take a tablet that they are passing out." Our principal instructed us. I took one of the tablets and a glass of water. "This is for us to have immortality. So that we would never age. Take it in 3..2..1." He said, taking one himself. The others also took down the medicine and so did I. I don't feel any difference... When I looked at everyone else, their eye color turned to bright silver and their skin became pale. I looked at my skin... No difference. It's still the same. Most of them took notice of this and then they noticed me not changing like them.

"Miss, did you take yours already?" I nodded when this scientist asked me. She then grabbed another med from her pocket and gave it to me. "Please drink another one." She said, handing it to me. By this time everyone has their attention on us. I grabbed the tablet and another glass of water, I drank it or took it once more. I opened my mouth to show that I swallowed it. But I still didn't change. "Why won't you change?" I shrugged.

"Is this seminar done yet?" I asked. She shook her head.

"If it won't work for you then it probably won't work on others as well." She explained her theory. I tilted my head.

"That, or I'm immune to it." I explained mine. She nodded.

"Possibly so." She agreed.

~•~💫End of Flashback💫~•~
And ever since that day, I'm required to go to Ms. May's lab every month. Ms. May was that scientist who made the theory about the won't work on everyone thingy. It worked on everyone though, and I mean everyone in whole wide world. We aren't all zombies, some turned into vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and more. Everyone are pure breeds by now. We all still eat the same food we eat, but with a few extra meals. Like blood bags for the vamps and raw food for the zombies and werewolves.

"Ms. Zye," my teacher asked. I looked in her direction as I was looking out the window here on my seat. "Ms. May wants to see you." I nodded. I stood up and all eyes were on me. I was considered as The Unchanged Girl. Meaning I'm the only one in this world who hasn't been affected by the medicine they gave. I walked out of the classroom and proceeded to go to the clinic. Ms. May suggested to our chairman that she should stay and also help at the clinic because she needs to know how to change me. She doesn't want me to die. She said I have so much potential in me. I'm very smart, talented, and I'm very friendly but I got quite shy knowing that I'm the only human in the world. Once I got there, Ms. May greeted me.

"Good morning Aia. How was your day so far?" She asked.

"Good morning to you too. It's been fine." I answered. She opened up her notebook and looked back at me.

"We still haven't found what's wrong." She said, straight to the point.

"Maybe it's not the medicine but me." I said. She tilted her head, like she's saying 'huh?' "Maybe there's something wrong with me, maybe my theory about me being immune to it is true. It could happen." She nodded in understanding.

"But that doesn't mean I should give up. Here." She said. Pulling out a syringe filled with some kind of chemical. Probably the medicine. I reached out my hand and she grabbed it, she told me to sit down on the chair beside her and to stay still after. I did what she asked me to. Ms. May then injected it through my skin, I winced a bit. "There." She said as she finished.
I felt it ooze in me. I shivered a bit.

"Achoo!" I sneezed. "Achoo! Achoo!" I sneezed some more. "I feel cold." I said.

"Hmm. It isn't supposed to do this." She then gave me medicine for the sneezes.

"Tha- achoo! *Sniff* Thanks." I said as I drank it, I then felt better.

"Your welcome dear. You may go back to class now." I nodded at what Ms. May said. Day after day, she injects newly made chemicals to me in order to change me into one of them. They wouldn't let me turn into a vampire, a ghost, a werewolf, and such. They said that I had to be a zombie since I was born here where the zombies are. I haven't made a single friend since that faithful day but I had 2 before. I guess they think that I'm too different to be friends with them, some friends they turned out to be. *Sigh*

"I wish I had friends" I said to myself. Little do I know that that's about to happen.
