The summer before senior year was supposed to be my chance at redemption. But it turned out to be an even bigger reminder of why I needed to redeem myself in the first place. I had fucked up. Royally fucked up, that is. And it seemed I would have to do more than I thought to fix things.
See, being the school's very own "Cupid" of sorts puts me in a disadvantageous position. On one hand, I'm the first to hear about literally anything and everything that happens at my High School, which makes it worth it, I guess, besides the whole "helping someone out" thing, of course. But on the other hand, I have no right to a private life, or a love life of my own, considering my présque celebrity status.
That cliché quote everyone's heard Uncle Ben Parker say: With great power comes great responsibility. And boy did he know what he was talking about. Too bad it took me too long to figure it out.
Working as the "Goddess of Love" at your High School comes with a very high price. One I was not aware of until my very first failure, or mistake, whatever it was. Everything from then on changed drastically, and I wanted nothing more than to reverse time and undo it. But I can't.
My name is Circe Venus Summers, and this is the story of how Kingsnight High's matchmaker found her match.
Author's Note:
Hello, there!
Thank you for clicking on this story and giving me a chance. I hope you like it as much as I am enjoying the process of writing it.
The title and the idea for this story were remotely inspired by LEPalphreyman's "Cupid's Match" series, - which you should definitely check out - but my story is completely different.
The cast is merely a suggestion, you can picture the characters anyway you'd like. In fact, I encourage you to use your imagination!
Keep in mind that this is a somewhat cliche story, with perhaps lots of overused plotlines and ideas, but I promise I didn't steal or plagiarize anything.
This is a work of pure fiction, a hobby of mine, but I would still greatly appreciate it if no one tried to steal this idea.
Any similarities with actual, real life, events is purely coincidental.
Be aware of the use of possibly offensive and mature language, such as swear words, innuendos, suggestive content, triggering themes (please, stay safe!).
Again, thank you for giving this story a chance!
Happy reading!
Love,
Azura xoxo
