A/N: Thank you for reading my story, I've been working on it for a while now! Don't forget to comment/vote if you enjoy!

I couldn’t even escape him in the car. What Makes You Beautiful started playing, and I was transported back to the time without my full consent.

“Come on, Adriana! It will be fun, I promise”

“No, Haz. You are insane.” (Start playing music) Even at the age of twelve, he was a crazy boy.

“Fine. I’ll go myself.” He walked tediously over to the edge, his brown curls missing because of his new haircut. He made it to the edge of the water trampoline, and was about to jump before I pushed him into the dark blue ocean.

“Unfair!” He yelled, making me laugh. His eyes met mine, and his expression became serious.

“You wouldn’t dare.” He grabbed my ankle and pulled me in the water with him. He was gripping my waist and holding me close. I don’t know why, but at the age of twelve I was madly in love. I looked into his big green orbs, hoping for him to say that he felt the same way. Usually now was the point that he would pull away as he blushed. We had a lot of moments like this recently.

“Um, Adriana. There’s something you need to know.” Is what he said instead.

“Yes?” I asked. He looked at me, glanced away, and then did a double take. He quickly flung his lips to mine. He tried to pull away, but I kept him there for a second. This feeling was so unfamiliar and so new, it was amazing.

“That’s what you need to know. I know that we are moving away for a few years, but I couldn’t leave without you knowing that. Wait for me?” He asked. I nodded.

“Of course, Haz. I’ve been waiting for you for twelve years.” I said. One of my dreams just came true. We got back onto the water trampoline, waiting for his dad to return to us to take us back to shore.

I told myself to snap out of it. But the memories kept coming.

“ADRIANA!” some man yelled as I was at the airport to pick Harry up. His family had already flown back in, but he had stayed an extra day because his friends were throwing him a party. The figure that yelled my name started running towards me. Holy crap that was Harry. What a difference three years could make. Sure, we had skyped a little bit at the beginning and texted, but we hadn’t really talked in a long time. His curls were still there, but they didn’t look childish anymore. His dimples had turned into more sexy than cute, in fact everything had turned into sexy. His smile was still the same one that could make my whole day better.

“HAZ!” I yelled. He embraced me, and twirled me around while holding me up so my feet weren’t on the ground anymore. It felt so good to be back in his arms, as it had so many years ago on the day of our first kiss. The day before he left my life for what seemed like permanently.

“I’ve missed you so much!” He yelled. I just nodded, and for some reason I hadn’t even realized I was crying.

“I’ve missed you too much babe.” I said. He nodded, giving me a little kiss on the cheek. I wasn’t sure if things were going to be awkward between us, seeing as three years had passed. I had grown three cup sizes, gotten curves, and embraced my womanhood. He had definitely embraced his manhood. While to others we looked like a couple, it just felt like the three year gap was a minor speed bump in our friendship now. We collected his bags and went out to my car, finally ready to return to a complete home now. We drove home to him talking about his life for the past four years, and I caught him up on what’s been going on in Cheshire, which was nothing as usual. When we finally made it back home, we were greeted with hugs and kisses and a nice warm dinner. After dinner was over, all the adults said they were going to watch a movie. Cassidy, my little sister, went up to her room. She was thirteen, the ultimate teenage girl hormonal age. Harry pulled me back.
