I arrive at the clearing turning left and right in a seconds notice to make sure I'm not being followed. As I lay down I hear gunfire nearby. I turn my gun in the direction and cover my face as sprays of pellets shower overhead. I spray ammunition at an enemy and watch as he turns away to seek cover in an overgrown shrub. I grasp my pistol and fire two quick shots into the incoming enemy.
"Hit", I hear him scream!
I nod, satisfied at my alertness. I crawl to the side, then push myself to my feet, and Sprint through a thicker if bushes, ducking as ammunition nearly scrapes my face. I jump and land hard on my side. I see a point of ammunition, the lean-too, and take cover inside, reloading my gun. I notice someone approaching me, I turn my gun. I sigh, it's just Ben.
"What are you doing! We need to capture the points," he scowls.
I nod. "I was just securing the perimeter. No big help I guess!," I retort. He nods, clearly satisfied, and we make our way to the plaza, where enemy infantry awaits. As we enter the plaza, screams sound through the air, and ammunition flies overhead. I watch as a teammate gets pelted hard in the face. I grimace, our numbers are waning. Ben and I find cover behind the junk I noticed earlier. I turn to fire at the enemy. Gunfire litters the air as bullets are exchanged. The moment is going too fast, I'm dizzy. That's when I look down to notice a pellet stuck into my jacket, I've been hit!
I walk back to the reasons area, and notice that their are many different skirmishes along the woodlands. The cliff is being secured by our team, I can respawn there. I Sprint to the cliff and tap it twice to show that I'm a live player. Many enemies have noticed me by now and are quickly in pursuit. I turn and spray pellets behind me. Again and again, but I hit no one. I notice Ben in cover behind a tent. I Sprint and dive behind the tent.
"Where have you been!," He asks.
"Respawning," I grunt, and secure our backs. He nods then beckons us forward. We spray pellets into the open, hitting a few. Our team is coming here, but the battle down east, at the clearing still wages. I hear the noise. The war is raging. We are losing. Losing very bad.
