Ashton's pov.
I wake up to Kate's beautiful face. She is so beautiful while she's sleeping. I wish I can tell her that I have a crush on her. But I should not. I'm a person she will never think of or will fall for.

Would she fall for me? Can I make her love me? I'm confused. What happened in the party confused me. Why was she mad that I slept or kissed another girl? Was she jealous. I wish I can read her mind. I wish. We've been friends since grade nine. I know her so well. She beautiful, kind hearted, funny. And most importantly she's real.

Most of the girls I had dated them before weren't real, they were completely fake. They were trying to impress me with their body and this stuff but Kate is different. Her personality is what makes her beautiful.

"Good morning." Kate smiles to me when she wakes up.
"Morning, beautiful." I smile back.
"Did I snort?"
"No, you didn't." I laugh.
"Awesome." She blushes.
"Umm, would you like me to drive you home? It's on my way I'm going to the hospital." I say.
"Yes, I remember the hospital!" She exclaims.
"You're not coming with me." I say.
"I am." She smirks.
"You're not." I add
"Wh-"
"Wake up sweeties, breakfast is ready." My mother says.
"Let's go and have breakfast." I say.
"But I wan-"
"End of discussion, you're not coming." I cut her off.
She groans.

"Owwww, pancakes pancakes!" I say as I open the fridge.
"I'm starving." Kate says.
"Let's eat kids, the doctor appointment is one hour later." Miss Kennedy says.
"Miss Kennedy, can I please join you two?" Kate begs my mother.
I glare at my mother.
I give her that look of 'Mom don't let her come with us!'
"Sorry sweet heart but your mother is worried about you."
Such a relief!

"Okay, so I'll go get dressed." I say as I place my dish into the sink.
"I'll be waiting for you here." Kate says.

I enter my room and see the bed sheet and the covers tangled. I wish it could always be like this.

"Mom, I'm ready!" I shout as I'm fixing my collar.
"I am too." Kate says.
"Okay, kids let's go." Mom says.

"Thank you so much for the ride guys!" Kate says as she gets out of the car.
"Oh, I forgot. Call me when you get back." She says as her head is inside the car and the rest of her body is out.
"I will." I say.

The ride stays silent until my mom speaks.

"So, how long have you two been dating?" My mom asks.
"Dating." I snort a laugh.
"What's funny?" She asks.
"You know what's funny mom."
"Honey we're not sure yet."
"Mom, drop it please."
"Son, you have to live your life like tomorrow doesn't exist and if she loves you, she will stay."

Her words touches if she loves you she will stay.

We arrive at the hospital. I've always hated this place. It's where a person can survive or a person will die.

Anyways life goes on.

My mom talks to some doctor asking him about doctor Spencer.

Doctor Spencer has been my grandma's doctor for years and years. She talked about alot that even I wanted to know him. And here I am having an appointment with him.

"He's in room 113, let's go son. It's okay." My mom tries to comfort me but she can't I wish Kate is here to stay by my side and comfort me.

Her existence makes me feel safe.

My mother knocks the door of room 113.

"Doctor Spencer?" She asks.
"Yes, Miss Kennedy." He comes towards us and shake hands with me and my mother.

He is nearly 40 or 45 years old. He has dark eyes and hair.

"This is my son Ashton." She gestures.
"Hey Ashton." He greets me.

I smile at him.

"So, What did you notice in the past few days?"

I look at my mum.

"Blood in the urine, weight loss a pain in the side and losing appetite."

"We have to do an x-ray on your kidney."

I feel an ache in my stomach and my heart skips a beat.

That doesn't feel good.

While doing the X-ray a part on my body lit.

I don't understand.

The doctor doesn't feel comfortable.

"Well I just want a urine sample."

I nod.

"The toilet is on your left." He gestures.

I open my door room and look at my tangled bed. Which is full of Kate's smell. I smile at the thought of her.

But I'm worried. I don't know if it's right or wrong. I want her. I want to be with her.

My phone buzzed and unlock it. It's a text from Kate.

Kate♡: Heyyy how was your doctor appointment?? :)

You: Can i call you?

Kate♡: Yes sure.

"Hey." She says.
"Hey." I say.
"Are you okay?" She asks.
"I'm okay." I say.
"Are you sure?" She asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say my voice getting trailed off.
"Ashton are you sure you are okay? Do you want me to come over?" She asks.

I couldn't answer. The world was spinning around me and my vision became blurry. Till it all became black.
