"It all began on Nightmare Night after Nightmare Moon's return." stated Rainbow Dash. Ponies were acting wierd all over town, they were just not the same as before. After Nightmare Night everything seemed dark and miserable. Cherilee's normally understanding self was harsh and cruel to her students. Vinyl was composing classical music instead of her DJ style of music. Octavia was doing the thing Vinyl was best at instead of composing classical music. Every pony and everything seemed off.
The only pony who I didn't see in town were my friends Twilight, Rarity, AJ, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Then I notied something the sun and the moon were both up at the same time. I was very conerned as fast as I could I flew to Canterlot at the speed of light. Everything was smashed to hell, the castle was barely standing. The usually bustling streets of Canterlot were abandoned. When I walked through the streets everypony closed all of their shutters. Then a figure came into view it looked like Spike but he couldn't have done all of this damage he was only a baby dragon.
"Hey Spike! It's me Rainbow what happened here." I flew up to him when he turned around it wasn't the little dragon that I knew and love. That thing was something else but that thing is not Spike.
"Spike is that you, is it really you please this isn't funny anymore stop it." I choked out all of those words because I have nver been this scared in my life. When he turned around I screamed in horror it was Spike.
"Hello Rainbow Dash do you not remember me the one you defeated last night." Spike replied in an evil, ominous voice.
"But how we sent you to the moon" I stuttered
"That is where you are wrong you see after I was forced out of Luna's body I had to find a new host or I would be lost forever in space so I took the first open soul wishing for a better life. Now here I am and way better than any alicorn I have the abilty to change to any heigth I want when I want. Even the Mane 6 and the princesses can't stop me." Then it hit me Spike after we stopped Nightmare Moon we never checked in on him.
"Give him back you, you, you hag." I tried to sound as brave as I could. Then something else occured to me my friends and the princesses where were they.
"The one you call Spike is no more I am now known as Nightmare Gem." Spike told me plainly. I had so many questions where were my friends, and the princesses and why take Spike of all ponies. Then I summoned up all of my courage I demanded,
"Where are my friends and the princesses!" I stuttered a little bit I was very scared of what his answer would be. He started to snicker under his breath.
"No need to worry they all are in extensive care." he snapped his fingers and they all appeared out of no where. They were all in nightmares their horns and wings missing all of their faces frozen with an expression of fear.
"Lets see who's nightmare should we peer into first, how about Celestia's." A poof of smoke appeared over her head. I looked at the smoke Celestia was crying
"I am sorry Luna I didn't want this but I had no choice. You were threatening the lives of many ponies. I wish it was me if I tried harder I would be in that frozen hell not you. Please forgive me please."
" That was remarkable so much drama and sadness." spoke Nightmare Gem. Lets see what Luna is dreaming about.
"Go away stop it I don't don't need you." she stopped mid-sentence. "Luna don't you miss having me at your side and having so much power. Don't you miss having me next to you at night holding you. Come back to Luna I need your love. Come back to me and you can have all the power you want wouldn't you like that Luna?" The pony talking to her was a unicorn named Sombra.
"Yes I would like that I would like that very much." she said it almost hypnotically.
"Excellent Luna take my hoof and we can rule Equestria together in eternal darkness for all eternity."
