"DAMNIT CRIS I HAVE TO GO!" I yelled. My best friend takes so long to get ready. She came running down the hallway. "Here is your purse, phone, chapstick, and favorite coat. Good luck!"

I say she is my best friend, but she was really my assistant first. I ran downstairs and onto the sidewalk. I'm late for an audition! I start running down the sidewalk.

Time skip

I'm sitting backstage in the Music Box Theater. "Y/n L/n?" That's me! I walk onto stage. I see some men in the audience. "What role would you like in this musical?" One man asked me. "Um... I would like the role of Zoe Murphy..." Me smiles.

"Sing whatever you like." I take a deep breath and start singing.

I took a few deep breaths. I felt good about myself. The man in the audience clapped. "Very good. Thank you Y/n, that was great. We will email you in a couple weeks to tell you if you got the part or not. Thank you for coming." I nodded and walked off of stage. There was a table with a punch bowl, and some cookies.

I walked over to the table and poured some punch into a cup. I stood there for a while taking small sips out of the cup. I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around to see a man. He had long, light brown hair; Hazel eyes. "Sorry to bother you, but you're blocking the punch bowl." He slightly giggled.

"Oh... Sorry, I was just day dreaming I guess." I laughed and rubbed my temples. "Nah, you're fine, I was just a little dehydrated." We were silent for a while. He looked over at me.

"You were great out there." I choked on my punch. I put the cup down. "You heard me?" He laughed. "Everybody backstage heard you. You have a nice voice." I laughed. "Thank you. Oh! And by the way, my name is Y/n." He smiled and stuck out his hand. I shook it. "The name is Mike, Mike Faist."

I looked at his watch. "Holy Hell I gotta get going! I hope to see you again Mike!" He smiled. "I hope to see you again too Y/n."
