Now I know friendships don't last forever and the word, if split, leaves one person with the word ends. I'm not joking, try it. Any way I decide why not try to make some friends that, eventually, will hate me in the long run, but who cares I have a very long year ahead of me and I'm gonna need some help. You know with bullies and that sort of thing.
Class in school is just painful to sit through no matter how long it is weather it be 40 minutes or an hour, it is a waste of time. It is nearly impossible to with-stand it. sometimes I wonder if I am in a television set and people are laughing at my mistakes or like I'm in a book and people read the words I think as if they were to entertain them, but hey that's just my own thoughts.
The next month of school I'm stuck with a class transfer because this one kid needed to change his peers or something like that and well I was the chosen kid. There was a plus and a minus from that one I get that opportunity to meet new people but I'm stuck in a room filled with the "cool" kids and the jocks.
Looks like I'm out numbered I guess. These people are nothing like me. I go about like nothing changed. Although I have a different schedule, I have the same midterm classes like I did last time. I can still talk to Greg and another kid called Brian. Brian and I were accomplices not really friends for say. We talked and that kind of stuff but nothing more.
I was at lunch the next day hoping to sit next to both Brian and Greg but you know what they say "Beggars can't be choosers". I went to my next class after lunch and I had a plan. Ignore every single person who tries to make verbal contact with me and that's it. Nothing interesting happened except a game we played to study for tomorrows quiz.
The rest of the month was kind of the same besides the game part. The kids left me alone, and I didn't bother them so it was a win, win. The times I stayed up were to study but it didn't make me late. I hardly spoke for most of the time. I believe it was two whole weeks I was stuck trying to be quiet.
I was almost late a few times and others I was early. This school is huge but I only got to go in the bottom right hand corner of the building. The building itself is like one acre long and half an acre wide and two levels. It kind of reminds me of my old school except bigger.
I was considering to join the basketball team. Just for something to do after school because I REALLY need to go outside more. I think it will also be a good way to get friends. Let alone the fact that there are some people that know I'm there. Greg and I are getting to be better of friends considering that we are in the same social group.
I wake up the next morning and hey it's the weekend. I get so pumped that I can sleep in tonight and play more tomorrow. I attend to my hygiene and stuff you usually do in the morning, then I'm back to my room and on my phone. My mom said I have to leave the house for at least an hour. I text Greg to see if he wants to play outside.
"Hey Greg hows your weekend" I text.
"So far, okay. What about you." Greg texts back
"Good, hey you got anywhere to be today"
"No why"
"Do you want to play some basket ball with me"
"I guess"
"Nice"
--------------------------------------
We get to the court and see Brian. After we talk for a bit we go and play some Horse. For those of you who don't know what Horse is, it's a game you play with at least two people. You take turns shooting a basketball into the net and if you miss you get a letter. If you miss enough times to spell horse your out. Last one standing wins.
We play and to my supprise Greg scores the first basket. The point is, he started with the ball and he also won the game. The game went by like a flash of lightning. Greg made all the shots he attempted. Then the jocks showed up and they wanted to play a game with us. Why they wanted to play us is unknown but we accepted but only next week around Friday.
"We got a little more than a week to practice and get good and beat the jocks" I told my friends.
"Okay is it going to be 3v3 or a 1v1 game with subs?" Brian asked.
Greg said "I hope it's a game with subs because I'm not that good."
"We can change that in like 8 days, trust me Greg." I said
"Yeah every day after school that's when we come here to practice." Brian suggested
We all head home after shooting a few shots and we get on our computers to talk through E-mail and we had a nice chat. The next day came and we went to the court around 12:30 and met two kids named Matthew and Michael. They looked like they were somewhat good at the game. This was my shot to add to the team.
A/N Sorry for not posting for a while the wait is worth it sometimes... Sometimes. School got me like crap and I've been talking with my gf on my phone and it won't let me multitask on it so I'm happy I got a computer. Hope you enjoyed.
