It's calling me, even from the inside the house in my room, I can hear the enticing whisper coming from the sea outside. I open the sliding glass door and I am greeted with the sweet salty smell of the ocean. I walk down the creaking wood stairs. I look to my left and then to my right. The waves crash in sync as if a beckoning hand telling me to come closer. My toes hit the damp, cold sand and I felt a jolt of life enter my being. Step by step I carefully trudge my way through the sand and finally reach the shoreline. Finally, my toes reach warm water. Focusing on my senses, soaking in the world around me. With every wave, my feet sink into the sand. It's as if the ocean wants me, needs me. I will gladly go. I would gladly drown in something other than my feelings. I walk further in. The warm water crashes against me like a warm hug and I keep going. I stop for a minute. Is this really what I want? I take a deep breath. My lungs fill with the salty sea air. My brain fills with the memory of you. My whole body trembles, but my soul is calm. I take another breath and dive.
