Katherine wasn't sure how she ended up at the Police station. After the conversation at her apartment this morning, everything else had been a blur. Almost like a dream. She was currently sat in an interrogation room, whilst Tina and Bailey were held together in another room. A blanket had been draped over shoulders, whether it was Tina or Bailey she didn't know, but she was grateful to the girls nonetheless. Her body practically vibrated as she shivered in her chair, the room feeling like a freezer. She glanced up as the door opened and Detective brown walked in, a file in his hands. His expression was much more stoic than it had been back at her apartment, but Katherine could still see the contempt in his eyes.

"Hello again, Miss Katherine. How are you feeling?" He asked, pulling out a chair with a screech and sitting down. She scoffed inwardly at his time of voice. It was very clear to her that he didn't care in the slightest about how she was feeling. Detective Brown took in her expression and she could've sworn she saw him smile, but it was gone as quick as it came.

She didn't care how he looked at her. She just wanted to know where Nicole was.

"Where's Nikki?" She asked, pulling the blanket tighter around her. She watched as Detective Brown opened his file, pulling out a pen from inside his jacket.

"What is your relationship with Miss Nicole?" He asked, ignoring her question.

Katherine glared. "She's my roommate. Where is she?"

Once again, he ignored her. "And how long have you known her?"

Katherine's glare deepened as she leaned back in her chair, her mouth remaining closed.

"Don't feel like talking?" Detective Brown tilted his head. Katherine said nothing. "You need to talk to me, I'm just trying to find out what happened."

"Where's Tina and Bailey?" She demanded. "Then I'll talk."

"The other two are being held in a separate room. You are being held separate as you claim to be the victims roommate. Therefore that makes you closer to her."

"She's not a victim!" Katherine snarled. "She's not dead!"

She could've sworn Detective Brown smirked as he pulled a photo from his file. "Is this your roommate?" He asked, placing the photo in front of her.

Katherine whimpered at the face in the photo. Snarled bloody hair was matted to her forehead. A large black bruise across her left jaw, and a bottom lip that was split open, a trail of dried blood running down her chin. Nicole's normal scarlet red lipstick was smeared across her face, another split in her her eyebrow, leaving another trail of blood down her temple. The worst part was her eyes. They stared up at Katherine from the glossy paper. Cold. And lifeless.

"Nikki..." she whispered, tears leaking from her eyes and running down her cheeks.

"So you confirm that this is your roommate Nicole Redman?" Detective Brown asked, pulling the photo away to place it back into his file.

Katherine nodded as she sobbed. The blanket slid from her shoulders as she cried into her hands. She couldn't ever remember feeling like this. Her heart literally ached in her chest and she could've sworn she felt it snap into. Nicole's face was burned into her eyelids and was all she could see.

"I'm very sorry for your loss." Detective Brown said.
Katherine felt her entire body tense as she heard his tone. He didn't sound sorry at all. More so neutral. There was no emotion in his voice at all.

"Are you really?" Katherine spat, raising her head from her hands.

"How long have you known Miss Redman?" He ignored her again.
