Saving Henry [Henry Danger fanfiction]

Chapter 3: Shocked

Henry and Ray glanced at one another. "Fine. What do you want us to do?" Ray asked, kind of worried for his life but mostly not, as he's, you know, indestructible.

"I want you to be good little puppets and listen to your master. Can you do that?" Ivy said in a sickly sweet tone. Henry nodded slowly.

"And if we aren't?" Ray questioned, almost scared for the answer.

"If you aren't, this will happen," Ivy smirked and pressed the button on her controller, resulting in shocking Henry and Ray. Electric shocks.

"Alright! Alright, stop it! Stop it!" Henry yelled in pain. Ivy glared at him but did as he asked, wanting to hurt them, but not wanting to break them unless they refused to tell her the answers she wanted.

"Fine. I'll stop. Will you answer my questions?" Ivy said, looking at them suspiciously, certain that they would refuse. Therefore, she was surprised when Henry hastily nodded. Then Ivy remembered that for only Kid Danger would really feel the pain to its extent. Captain Man would feel it, of course, but the after-effects wouldn't really affect him as much as they did to the kid.

"Yeah. We will," Ray said reluctantly, knowing that the pain was much worse for Henry than it was for himself. Henry almost sighed in relief, before realising that he should be portraying a strong figure.

"Maybe. We might not. We don't have to listen to you," Henry interrupted, inwardly grinning at standing up to the vile girl.

"What did you say to me?" Ivy hissed in a threatening tone. Henry took a step back, he certainly didn't want to get the girl angry, she looked evil.

"I - I said th-that we d-didn't have to l-listen to y-you," Henry stammered, feeling like an idiot for stuttering his words in front of a teenage girl.

"Oh, really?" Ivy sneered, raising her eyebrows. She held her finger threateningly over the button, noticing the way Henry shifted so that he would hopefully be more comfortable.

She pressed it.

Henry screamed in pain. Ray sat there, feeling it for sure, but not acting. It seemed as though he didn't feel it at all, though the stance he was holding screamed that he was feeling it. Ivy had purposefully made it so that for Ray it was worse, but for Henry it was less worse. Technically, it should be Ray that was screaming in pain and Henry that was sitting there, acting cool.

Then again, Ray must have a high pain tolerance, with how many people who hit bats over his head, he must be used to it by now. Some people did it without asking him! It was basically abuse, but Ray was so used to it, it seemed like an itch on his back now.

"Stop it! Can't you see it's hurting him, stop it!" Ray protested, hating to see his partner and best friend in pain. Ivy sneered at him and continued pressing the button, not caring about Henry at that moment in time.

"No. If it hurts you to see your partner being 'shocked', then I'll continue," she smirked, most likely thinking of more diabolical plans to hurt the superhero and his sidekick.
