In the 1980's many reports of children having nightmares after sleeping with the Cookie Monster dolls surfaced.
This was very worrying, not because of the children having nightmares, but because every single kid described the same exact nightmare.
The dream would consist of children waking up in their bed to sickly man watching them.
After the decade ended, reports stopped for a time before coming back, only this time, with the Elmo dolls.
