Chapter Ten

I could see Christmas everywhere. Our office is fully decorated; grand Christmas Tree on the receiving area and garlands everywhere.

Even Alyssa and I decorated our unit. We got a tree and here we are now adorning it with different Christmas ornaments of gold and silver.

"What do you want for Christmas?" I asked Alyssa as I reach for a gold Christmas ball and while tiptoeing I hang it on the tree beside a silver reindeer.

"Hmm... you know whatever you come up with I would always treasure."

"Stop being overly polite. Just tell me please. I want either a perfume or make-up set in nude by the way. Or both if you are feeling more generous," I said making a funny face.

"Okay then, I think I need a new car," She said laughing.

I was about to answer her back when the doorbell rang. She gladly took it and welcomed Tom.

"Hey, Tom!" I greeted.

"How come I am not seeing the other love bird?" He teased. I just rolled my eyes.

After decorating the tree I left them and went to my room. I immediately reached for my phone and saw that I got several missed calls from Zeke. I called him back.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Hey love, I did not get your call. We were decorating our tree."

"Great. Was just checking on you. Miss you."

"Same here."

"Get some rest now. See you soon, sweets. Love you."

"Love you too," I said then we hang up. I wonder when we could spend time together again.

I showered then put on comfortable clothes and went to sleep.

I went Christmas shopping with Richard. It has been months since we last went out. He called me this morning to ask how I have been and we decided to catch up over lunch then do some shopping together.

"Great to hear that you got back together with your boyfriend," Richard said.

We are in his car now and he is driving me home. Funny how at the start we blind dated and now we are friends who hang out.

"Yeah. And you, do you have a girlfriend now?" I was curious so I asked.

He nodded and blushed. Cute. Like a teenage boy with his first love. I wonder if Zeke has the same reaction when being asked about me.

When I got in the condo, I happily wrapped my presents for my family, Zeke, Alyssa, Richard, Lucille, my other friends, co-workers, those for exchange gift, and my god children. I did not realize that there were too many. Just got too tired I fell asleep.

It's not just another Friday. Our office Christmas party was a blast. I enjoyed dancing and singing. Come to think of it, I won in the raffle. Okay, another rice cooker in the condo won't hurt. Haha! I am excited to tell Alyssa.

"Did you enjoy tonight?" Dustin asked.

I nodded.

He then introduced me to a girl standing beside him. "Alex, meet my girlfriend, Jenna. Jenna, meet Alex, my co-worker."

"Hi. Nice to meet you," I said as we briefly shook hands.

There you go. Ouch indeed! I am just a co-worker, not even a friend. Hmpf! He has a girlfriend. How dare me of accusing him that he looked at me differently a few months back. Or maybe he did and he just recovered because I was already taken. Well. no guts no glory, so don't hate me for having it.

I was kind of tired so I went straight to my room as soon as I got home. And when I turned on the lights, I was surprised to see Zeke sleeping on my bed.

His eyebrows creased because of the sudden brightness.

I went to him and kissed him on the cheek saying, "What a surprise my love. Sorry I did not know you were sleeping here. Otherwise, I would have not turned on all the lights."

He smiled and hugged me. "No problem, sweetheart. I would love to be awake and be with you anyway. I awfully missed you. I can't stand being far away for too long."

I had a quick shower and a change of clothes to sleep on.

As soon as I lay down beside him on the bed he hugged me and kissed me hard on the lips. I was shocked but I liked it nonetheless. I could feel that he truly missed me. I felt his longing... his hunger for me as if he wanted to swallow me whole. And I kissed back just as fiercely. I missed him too.

"I love you," He softly whispered to my ear, instantaneously causing goose bumps all over my body."

"I love you too," I said tightening my grip on his back. I do not want to let go. I won't let go. I never felt this hungry for his kisses... for him.

Tonight is one of the most memorable nights of my life. We were hugging and kissing greedily. One thing led to another. And before we knew it he got and I willingly gave him one thing that could never be retrieved nor replaced.

Actually, there were previous attempts to do such in college but maybe because it was just peer pressure we always end up not really doing it. It just did not feel right then. But tonight was perfect. We were both longing for each other.

I could almost still feel him inside me. Oh those hips as they thrust hard on me and how my body follows... willingly follows as if in rhythmic movements... as if we were synchronized to move as one... to be as one.

Thinking about it, it's not at all how Alyssa described it to me when she first did it with Matt in college. She used the adjectives hot and steamy. My union with Zeke was definitely something else. It was more than an act. We were two souls connecting to each other through our romantic love making. We fell asleep naked in each other's arms and we did not mind at all.

I woke up completely bare except for Zeke's body covering me in a tight embrace. I looked up. He is already awake staring at me and smiling like crazy,

"I love you, baby. I think I want to marry you already," Zeke said kissing me on the cheek.

I just laughed and said, "I love you, too."

Marry me? That's crazy not because we had the honeymoon he would suddenly feel the urge to tie the know right? I am only twenty two and I have too much to explore and conquer still.

But then again maybe, just maybe, if he would propose properly I might after all say... yes!
