///A/N: Part 2!!!! Soweee if I have to split them into parts... but yeah let's get it going already!!! :3

Daniel

Sunday. Well supposed to be a day of relaxation and peace of mind. Unfortunately, mom had an "emergency call" from her boss saying that she needs to be at their office for the whole day. We were supposed to go to church together, have some lunch at my favorite restaurant, go shopping and have some more fun, more like a mother-and-son bonding time which he hadn't done for a long time already. But it got spoiled by one phone call and everything went into dust.

Luckily however, she had a back up plan as what she said to me while fixing her bag before setting off to her office. "You'll be pleased of what I had in my mind, Danny." She walked up to me and kissed my forehead as I sit near the coffee table, with my game controller and trying to be in a bad mood and really concentrating on Need for Speed.

"Oh don't be like that. Tell you what, I'll get that game you're asking me ages ago to get it pre-ordered. I know you like that collector's edition with that massive statue, right? So don't get that long face or else Jake won't like you anymore." She winked at me.

I shrugged, with a bit of excitement on my part and a bit red when I suddenly remember the name or whenever his name is mentioned. "Mom, there's no need to be like that!' I shrugged my shoulders, pausing the game and putting the controller down. "Would you really get that for me? Oh gosh, it will be released soon and I'd be delighted to have it home delivered."

"Yep as long as you wait here for my surprise. I better get going now. I'm going to be late for that appointment. I love you Dan."

"Bye mom!", waving good bye to her from where I'm situated. Moment's later, another knock on the door made me jump off the floor and an unexpected(sort-ish) person showed up. "Jake! What are you doing here? I thought you were-"

"Going to the mall and hanging out with my 'rents? Yeah, well they had to go to this work they had and asked me to stay here with you."

"Uh huh, not that suspicious I suppose or you had it planned out?" I looked at him with eyebrows unevenly leveled. "Of course not! I wasn't expecting this either. Anyhow, what do you wanna do today?"

"I was actually planning of baking something, maybe a sponge cake for mom and your parents too. Haven't done that for a long time and I miss doing it."

"Sure thing." We proceeded to the kitchen and what the hell would you think happened to the once neat-and -clean, no-spec-of-dust kitchen mom really took care of? We set the cake on a cake stand, sliced it into half, put some strawberry jam and covered the whole lot with vanilla cream. We each took a slice and I had us prepared our usual coffee, cappuccino for him and plain black for me. It was something good to reminisce all the things we used to do and I feel like as he does this everyday, spending more time with me, brings back that sweetness we once had. Not to mention, the times we lost because of some "issues". He said he'd make it all up for me, even it was all my fault.

Monday morning came and the sun just showed up after days hiding behind the clouds. We're closing into September and I'd be expecting a lot of beautiful flowers sprouting out everywhere.

I started walking to my second class after a long discussion on my first period when I was pulled by Zoey towards the stage. "What the hell are you doing? We're supposed to be in class now."

"Oh shush you! I got something nasty for you and you'll be totally embarrassed by it because of the sweetness in the air."

"Okay damn let me guess, it's Jake isn't it?" Much to my suspicion soon that I heard a small crowd cheer from where I suspect is coming from the stage. Zoey instantly got jittery and pulled me towards that direction without any other choice. She squeaked to the top of her lungs like nothing's stopping her from doing it. Perhaps it's really something because I can somewhat sense what she feels.
