prologue
Hi i'm Eva, my parents are the alphas of the Black Ridge pack and I am their only child. Also today just happens to be my 18th birthday, and the day of my first shift.
In order for a female werewolf to make it through their first shift on their 18th birthday, they need their mate there to help guide them or else they run a high risk of dying.
As I am saying this, I am going through my first shift. Alone. now I bet your wondering why my mate is not here with me, right? Well when I met my mate He rejected me. Or so it seemed at the time.
