"Im Nayeon," yelled out a stressed out Jihyo, "Get ready, we're on stage in ninety seconds!"
The girl's eyes widened until they reached maximum meme material, and she stopped looking through her phone immediately. She had recently become obsessed with reading comments about TWICE, whether they be negative or positive. The ones she relied on most tended to be negative, and she tried to take it as constructive criticism - it just ended up hurting her. She loved this group so much, and her life was dedicated to making every single ONCE as happy as possible. The only people that could make her feel moderately okay were the rest of her group, and her best friend Min Yoongi, who happened to be approaching her before his group went to prepare for their own stage.
"Yah, Nayeonie, are you reading those comments again?"
He shuffled towards her in a very lazy manner, but still eager to observe her face closer. "I've told you that does no good. Do you ever listen? They have no idea how hard you work." he scolded her, and Nayeon's head hung low. Yoongi was like an older brother to her, except he meant a lot more than a brother ever would.
"I'm sorry, I just want to please everyone. I want everyone to be happy because of TWICE, our group is supposed to make people happy, supposed to make ONCE happy, and ONCE are depending on us. When others say that we have no talent, it hurts them because they know our struggles." Nayeon took Yoongi's hand and squeezed it lightly before going closer to the stage to perform. Yoongi looked around, and spotted Jimin and Momo come out of a dressing room, Jimin fixing Momo's hair and clothes before pecking her on the lips quickly. "Aish, those kids..."
As Momo rushed to get in her position, Nayeon looked back at Yoongi and smiled. This was their very first performance of their new song, 'TT'. People seemed to really enjoy it more than the girls thought they would. It was just a matter of how good the mics were, and how they all performed.
The music faded in, starting off a catchy tune with occasional hats, making it slightly different than their first two songs. The very intricate and complicated choreography soon began, as Nayeon popped up on her own, the other girls soon following.
Yoongi was backstage, watching his best friend perform with her beloved group, while his mind subconsciously reminded him that she was only his best friend, and that is all she would ever be. No matter how much he loved her bunny teeth, and how she always acted more like him since he met her. No matter how he adored her little quirks and how she's the exact definition of a tsundere. Exactly like him. He admired Nayeon on the screen, and didn't take his eyes off of her.
The beginning of the song was sung by Nayeon, sounding so similar to the soundtrack people questioned if it was actually live.

Her vocals never ceased to amaze Yoongi, they were so unique. TWICE was such a unique group - and it made him absolutely livid when people failed to realize how great the group really was. The maknae was next to him, being extra when Mina sang her part after Nayeon.
"MINARI!!!! MINARIIIIII!!!!!!" Yoongi was damn close to socking him in the mouth, but she was Jungkook's best friend, and he understood. He just didn't have to be so... loud. But the youngest knew that whenever Nayeon's face was within the older boy's viewing range, he was screaming just as loud in his head. Jimin was peeking around the curtain to look at Momo, while Namjoon kept pulling him back each time he snuck over there.
Nayeon and Yoongi were best friends and everyone knew it, they just didn't make it as fluffy as Jungkook and Mina did. Everyone knew Mina liked Jungkook, and Jungkook liked Mina. It was just a matter of which one was gonna stop being chicken, and confess. Meanwhile, Yoongi and Nayeon had their special friendship moments alone, and anyone seeing it would be lucky. Near the others, it was filled with playful bullying and relentless teasing between one another. Chaeyoung was the only one to know that Nayeon was head over heels in love with her best friend.
As the chorus occurred, to all of the girls' surprise, the entire audience began to sing along with them.

Jihyo, as the group's leader, was smiling like she just saw the most beautiful thing on Earth, and was fighting back tears. This many people liked their song. The boys backstage were speechless as well, and the only thing Jungkook could think of was the amount of people in that audience that were male.
The loudest chant that TWICE has ever received happened in the peak point in the chorus.

Taehyung was busy singing along and fanboying over his girlfriend on the screen, singing "neomuhae, neomuhae". Yoongi was immersed in Nayeon's determination to make every single person in that audience appreciate the hard work her group has endured to get to where they are now. He was so proud.
After the second chorus before Tzuyu, Jihyo and Mina's bridge part that caused Jungkook to almost collapse, the part that Nayeon dreaded was soon to happen. She always tried so hard on those high notes, but never got them as good as she wished they would be.
Mina began singing the last chorus, and Nayeon chimed in with her high notes.

As for the high notes,
Nayeon nailed them.
The crowd cheered like they did when the song reached the 'TT' part, and Nayeon was almost crying. She did it, she sang those high notes perfectly. That determination and hard work proved her to be a warrior disguised as a small girl with rabbit teeth and an unfiltered vocabulary.
Backstage, her best friend couldn't say anything. Yoongi couldn't say anything but, "...Wow."
Jimin and Jungkook patted him on the back and congratulated him before they would congratulate Nayeon when she came backstage. Yoongi was still speechless, the moment his best friend showcased her amazing ability in one performance replaying in his head, over and over.
It was at that moment when Min Yoongi realized he was in love with Im Nayeon.
