"Matthews!"

"Yes?"

"Explain to me why the Hamilton girl is quartered with Arbor."

"Garrison, the gangs got into the database again. They seem to have changed the room assignments."

"Which group was responsible for this? This could be an indication of trouble."

"Everything points to the Recoudre."

"What could they be planning?"

"Garrison, with all due respect, that isn't your concern. The general said we weren't to give her any different treatment. The groups have done this kind of thing before, I've heard."

"Really, Matthews? You have the nerve to say that to me? Forgive me if I'm incorrect, but what was it you called the girl when we found her? Was it, perhaps... Maggie?"

"Leave her out of this. It was a mistake."

"Temper, temper, Matthews. It was a mistake, wasn't it though? A slip in guards, a foolish mess-up that cost a young girl her life-"

"ENOUGH!"

"It's not my fault, Matthews. It never was. It's always been yours."

"You're a funny guy, Garrison. If it's always been my fault, why is Madame Gyran currently kicking her polished heels in the Tribunal?"

"The same reason I'm the one escorting her, and you're on guard duty."
