~"How long have I been out for?" I ask Zoe.

" About a week, maybe longer. But a bit of conciecness here and there," she sits at the foot of the bed. "Those were the only times we could feed you." I almost miss the word.

     "We?" There are more people?

"Well I did most of the work and I really think he-"

     I interrupt her, "Who's he?"

"Just my twin brother, Xander" she says. As if on cue I hear someone walk into the house.

"Hello?" he calls, "Zoe?". Suddenly, standing in the doorway to my room is a tall boy, about my age (who I assume is Xander). He resembles Zoe in many ways; his curly brown hair, eyes, skin colour and bright smile. He looks at me, then at Zoe, then back me. Just by the way he analyzes me, I can see that he doesn't like me or trust me. I don't blame him. I wouldn't trust me either.

Zoe breaks the akward silence, "Xander this is Ryan. Ryan, Xander." He nods at me, eyes narrowed and sceptical.I can tell that he's trying to intimidate me. It's not working. I nod at him with a grin.

"Thanks," I say to Xander, "for the help." I guess he was the boy carrying me.

"You're welcome," he changes his stern look to a slight grin, "so when are you leaving?"

Zoe shoots Xander a look, "Ryan can stay as long as he needs to." she smiles apologetically at me, "please excuse my brother. We don't get many visitors."
