Note: this story IS kinda like a fanfic... Some characters and settings etc etc might be familiar if you have read the actual books(which are amazing, I would definitely recommend them to ANYONE that loves paranormal romance).

I do not own any of the characters, all events in this book are fictitious, all characters in this book are also fictitious etc etc, even though this is a fanfic, my storyline IS original, mainly and there will be characters not in the original. I'd appreciate it if everyone would refrain from entirely copying my works, I'd appreciate it also if I was alerted to those that have. Pleaseandthankyou. I'm sure you've all read this before-sorry for making you read it again.

I'm no author, please be kind, though creative criticism that I can use is wonderful and I also welcome praise. :P

LEGGO!

PS. I am writing this on my phone-I apologise if it looks funny on a computer screen or whatever!

The road ahead was clear. Not a single sign remained of the Loup that had passed down the street. Loups were shapeshifters that had, for lack of a better phrase "gone off the rails". They had abandoned all of their humanity resulting in a body that succumbed to animalistic impulse. To attack. To kill.

The faint tug of her scent tugged at me, pulling me further down the street. I was about a forty minute drive away for the Keep. Fifty minutes ago Hannah had left. Twenty minutes ago I had been given the task of eliminating Hannah. She was a threat now.

I followed her faint scent trail at a sprint, delaying might mean an innocent life lost. On either side of me industrial factories and warehouses passed, their smashed windows and crumbling, concrete walls a blur as I used my shapeshifter speed.

Her scent was getting stronger, I was catching up.

I hurt everywhere.

Not a single inch of me didn't scream out in agony as I ran away from the abandoned warehouse.

My eyes burned, I hadn't seen the sun and the sky in so long... I didn't even know how long they had me there.

Buildings passed and I tried to listen to my surroundings, struggling to hear over the sound of blood pounding in my ears.

My bare feet stung from running over broken glass, and as I continued to concentrate on noises, I heard the sound of crunching glass not so far behind me.

They were coming for me.

I can't do it. They'll get me.

Another part of my mind spoke up.

Over my dead body.

I flew over the uneven, jagged concrete, and turned a sharp corner, nearly running into a chain link fence.

The person continued to follow. I think they were even closer now.

I took another sharp turn between two buildings... Only to see a dead end. There was no where to hide.

I skidded to a halt, my eyes frantically searching for something I could use to defend myself... Or maybe even kill myself with.

I'd rather be dead than have to go through that torture.

A broken pipe with a jagged end caught my eye and I quickly sprinted to it and hefted it, checking if it could do some damage.

I slowly turned, only to see no one there.

My ears strained to pick up any sound.

The whistling of fabric warned me before I was tackled to the ground from behind. My nose smashed into the ground and I opened my mouth to scream, but the sound was muffled.

Pain erupted in my neck as I felt jagged teeth like that of a wolfs slash into it. All of a sudden my vision went fuzzy, my body was hot and cold at the same time and just when I thought the pain couldn't get any worse, it obviously did.

Why can't I just die.

I had to try atleast escape. My legs kicked, trying to find some purchase, but the weight on top was too heavy.

Liquid fire spread across my back, and I could just imagine the blood pouring from my wounds.

The teeth were still moving at my throat.

I was helpless. Alone. I was going to die.

She was attacking someone. I had tracked to her to the roof of a low building and I had a vantage point of the scene.

I leapt off the building without a thought-I had no time to waste and landed softly in a crouch begin her and the victim.

She couldn't even hear me or smell me. She was entirely consumed by her prey.

Still in a crouch, I picked up the metal pipe that was nearby and approached.

Landing a quick kick into her kidney, I pushed her off the victim and quickly impaled her, no need to prolong the dying part. Killing her was too easy. She wasn't a warrior.

Her clawed hands flailed at me, but I had already stepped out of reach.

The pipe jutting out of her check shuddered as she drew her last breath and exhaled, blood bubbling from her lips. The light faded from her eyes. Hannah was gone.

I turned to the victim, taking in the serious bite and the large gashes. Blood pooled around but as I went closer, I could hear a faint erratic heartbeat.

It wasn't dead yet.

Up close I could see it was a girl. The little clothing she wore was covered in blood and ripped in several places and her body was beyond battered. What human body I could see anyway. Which wasn't much. Patches of black and silver fur covered some of her, other parts a grotesque meld of animal with human skin stretched tight over the frame. Some of her couldn't even join together leaving openings displaying bone and tissue. Excruciatingly painful.

She was changing.

The Lyc-V disease had been passed on and now it was multiplying in her body at a rapid rate.

I bent to scoop her up in my arms and stopped as I heard her whimper.

She turned her head to look at me with a face that was neither human nor animal, but hideously frightening.

"Hurrrrrrtts..." It whispered with jaws that weren't in proportion to her face.

"Shh, it'll be okay." I tried to soothe. My mind racing as I tried to think of what I should do. Terminate her? Or take her back to the Keep?

I turned and broke into a sprint, to the Keep.

She screamed as I jostled her fragile frame, the sound was startling because her vocal cords were all screwed up, but I knew I had no time to waste. If I went any slower she might not make it. Hell, she might not even make it at this rate.

Soon after the sound did pains stopped. She had passed out.

I kept running.

Maybe I could keep Hannah's rampage roll at 0.

A/N: well there we go. I've finally started. :P

And hopefully I will continue! But encouragement and feedback would help quicken the process. Please leave a comment below and vote!
