A Familiar Face.

Johnny drove, a hand on the steering wheel and a hand on Ash who's head rested on his lap. Johnny sighed as he drove "Is this really going to be the future she's gonna have with me...? Running away from everyone that ever loved us..." Johnny thought to himself before stopping the car. "Ash, wake up." Johnny said softly as he nudged Ash who's eyes fluttered opened "J-Johnny...? Where are we?" Ash asked as she sat up yawning. "Well the trucks almost out of fuel, I've gotta fill her up." Johnny said chuckling as he got out of the truck, followed by Ash who almost fell on the ground. Standing up straight, Ash had to use the truck for support as she walked over to Johnny who laughed as he watched her. Ash frowned slightly but smiled when she saw Johnny happy. "Did you want to go pay for this babe?" Johnny asked raising an eyebrow. Ash looked at Johnny weirdly "Babe? Babe?! Since when have your ever called me?!" Ash thought to herself confusedly. Walking into the petrol station, Ash stopped and looked at an animal that looked awfully familiar "Mike?" Ash asked walking towards the small animal. Turning around, Mike looked at Ash with a shocked look "Ash? What the heck are you doing out in the middle of nowhere?" Mike asked confusedly "Well Johnny and I are just getting some petrol-" "Wait, Johnny's here with you?" Mike asked raising an eyebrow. Ash nodded "Wow." Mike said as he looked outside. "Well I've gotta pay for the petrol. See ya around I guess." Ash said as she walked over to the cash register.

"Hey, Johnny!" Mike called as he ran towards the gorilla "Mike! Hey. Fancy seeing you here." Johnny laughed "I could say the say the same about you...I heard what you did kid." Mike said disappointedly "Y-you...did?" Johnny asked softly, lowering his head. Mike nodded "Who cares what you did, the past is in the past." Mike said happily "So, Johnny. I know somewhere you can stay to stay low from the cops." Mike said fixing his tux. "You do? That'd be a big relief for me, Mike..." Johnny said softly. Ash walked up behind Johnny and Mike. Raising an eyebrow she looked at the two of them "What are you two plotting?" Ash asked as she made her way over to Johnny's side. Johnny put an arm around her and looked down at her "Mike knows somewhere we can stay." Johnny said turning his gaze to Mike who nodded. "Did you guys wanna come and stay there?" Mike asked looking at his phone "It's fine by me Mike, Ash?" Johnny asked looking at Ash who had a worried look on her face "I-I guess..." she spoke softly. "Alright! Follow me on the road then!" Mike exclaimed as he got into his car, Johnny got into the truck, followed by Ash.

~Few hours later~

Johnny and Ash followed Mike, Ash clinging to Johnny's arm terrified as she heard terrible noises in the hotel. Johnny looked down at her "Ash, it's okay." Johnny reassured the stressed porcupine. Shaking her head, she tightened the grip "W-we're not safe here..." she said gulping. Johnny shook his head as Mike opened a door "Here's where you guys can stay." Mike said showing them into the room. Johnny walked in and looked around followed by Ash "It's not flashy, but it'll do." Johnny said shrugging as he put the his and Ash's bags on the bed "Just call me if you two need anything, alright?" Mike said before walking out. Johnny nodded and looked at Ash "What's wrong, Ash?" Johnny asked raising an eyebrow. "Johnny...I-I'm scared..." Ash said looking at the floor "Ash, we'll be fine here. Don't be scared." Johnny said unpacking one of the bags. Ash sighed and sat down on the floor and hugged her knees.
