A Redemption Made

A Thief and A Wizard

The bright sun shone through the thick bars in the cell. The streaks of light perfectly parallel with each other, a very soft orange color. Cory, the one being held captive in the cell had nudged themselves awake. "Ahggg"
they grunted to themselves. They stood up and leaned on the wall with the bard window. The bright sunlight blinded him. He turned back around and looked at the bard door. Cory walked slowly to it and wrapped his frailed hands on it. "I need to find a way to get the hell out of here." Cory thought to himself. He looked at the door lock and saw it..."twitching". "What the heck!" Cory screamed while looking at the lock get fidgeted around.  "Shhhhh!" A voice echoed through the hallway, though it sounded close to Cory. "Cory? It is me, Uni!" the voice said. 
"What! Where are you?" Cory said sticking his head out the cellar door. 
"I'm invisible" Uni said.  He was picking at the lock and it made a click noise and it snapped open. 
"How!? How Uni? How did you get in here?" Cory exclaimed still trying to find Uni... since he was.. invisible. 
"Like I said, invisibility" Uni said as he opened the door to let Cory out.
"How were you able to get those!  I'm a thief and I can't even get those here! They're illegal here. And don't say you got them back at your place because that is way to far away from this town!"
"Well.. I know a guy" Uni said as he handed Cory an invisibility potion.
"Could you mind telling me who this guy's name is Uni?" Cory asked as he examined the potion twisting it back and forth.
Uni, a little shocked by this question thought about it, "hmmm? I guess it would be okay to tell Cory. His name isn't that noticeable here or to Cory.."
"His name is Jon." Uni said as he poured the bottle in his mouth because his recent potion was running out.
"Jon? Hmm.. that name isn't very scary for a man who sells illegal stuff, right Uni?" Cory said as he saw Uni walk away and disappear. Cory thought to do the same.

"Over here Cory!" Uni loudly whispered around the corner. "This is the way I got in"
"Okay! Got it" Cory said as he crouched towards Uni. "But look! There's guards over there!"
There where guards every where around that corner. Uni was looking for a way to get past them without them seeing his magic if he decided to teleport them there, while Cory was going to risk jumping out the window despite the long jump.
"What about this way!" Cory said as he scurried to the stone window.
"HEY !!! WHO ARE YOU!!!!" A guard saw him and called the other guards,"HEY WE GOT AN ESCAPER!!!!"
"DAMIT CORY!!" Uni saw the guards and quickly realized they had not time to go the other way. "CORY JUMP!!!!"
They both flew out the window and the wind blew through through their hair, and the gravity pull them in. The guards where shocked to see that they jumped out and called out to the guards bellow. "HEY!!!! GET THEM!!!!"
Uni held Cory's arm and blue mist sprinkled around them and gone. Uni and Cory teleported to the ground safely. "That was close, heh.." Cory said.
"Don't say that yet Cory!!" Uni said as he started to run as for a signal for Cory to start running.
"What is it?" Cory asked as he turned around to see there where a bunch of guards charging towards us on horses, "OH CRAP!!! YOU RIGHT!! RUN!!!"
Cory and Uni ran as fast as they could to get away from them. Uni was running out of breath but he suddenly had an idea. "Cory keep running!" Uni said. Uni stopped and planted his feet to the ground. Everything slowed down. The wind blew through his hair. He raises his hand and they turned blue. The same blue mist spread around his head. The slowed motion stopped and a loud, bright burst shot towards the charging horses.
"What happened Uni" Cory turned around and saw Uni run toward him.

"I distracted them so we could have more time to run!" Uni said as he felt the recent adrenaline flow through him now.
"There!! Let's hide behind those rocks!" Cory said as he slid across the dirt trail and ran towards the rocks, Uni then followed. They covered their ears while the ground shook of all the horses pounding their hooves on the ground. Dust flew every were around them.

Then...silent
"Are?... Are they gone?" Uni said as he was a little shaken by all the vibration.
"I'll check." Cory peeked his head above the rock and saw only hoof prints on the dirt. "Yea. Pretty sure they're gone"

They both stood up and started to look around. "Hmmm.. Should we start moving?" Uni asked.
"Sure? Where to exactly?"
"I still have to pay back that guy for the invisibility potion. So that's where we're going."
