It was a beautiful shiny day. It was a truly beautiful morning. The woods were alive. The trees standing tall and strong, their leaves moving at the slow breeze. They were talking, she thought. They were whispering long forgotten tales about the earth, the bright blue sky and the deep, dark and unwelcoming sea. The chirpings of the birds were interrupting them. They did not cared about all of these. They just wanted to enjoy their small lives as much as they could, flying from branch to branch. Their conversations, of a much lighter subject. The earthy animals, those with four or two legs, the once that hopped and run between the trees, those were of most importance to her, they held a much deeper connection with her heart. She opened the small door to exit her house, a small cottage in a clearing, in the woods. There were no trees above her house, so she could see the sky colored light blue, and the bright sun. She knew she wasn't supposed to look at the sun, but she couldn't care less. She narrowed her eyes and manage to see it for a few second, before she closed them. She then turned her gaze towards the trees and looked around her. The trees surrounded her house like a protective shield. They were like two hands lovingly surrounding her and protecting her. She immediately thought of him and a gush of positive emotions overwhelmed her. She slowly walked on the green grass, looking down at her bare feet. She saw her white dress moving with the wind. She combed her hair with her fingers and passed them in one side of her head. Her hair was white, just like her mother's. She started walking towards the woods, finally remembering what she had gone out for; To collect mushrooms! She wanted to make mushroom soup! She liked mushrooms because they were tasty and she could use them for her potions. She walked on the narrow path that lead deeper in the woods, picking the edible mushrooms in the proses. When her basket was full, she thought that it was time to head back, she stopped however when she saw a familiar creature; A dear! When she saw it, she ran and hugged it's neck. She remembered the day she first met the dear, she was so young. Her mother joked about how that dear was born at the same time as she was. She laid her head on the dear's body and stared at the sky. It was so beautiful! Everything was just so...
She heard it then. That sound. A sound that meant bad news. A menacing, evil sound. Voices. Their voices filled with hatred. Her eyes widened as she struggled to comprehend what was happening. Before she knew it, she saw them. A mass of them. They were walking towards her direction, holding torches, shovels, racks and stones. They saw her from afar and they started walking faster. She jumped and then, started running. The dear run with her. She hoped on it and they ran. She looked back as they ran, with the massive mob following behind them. They were close. For a moment, she thought she would escape. She thought her friend would run faster and faster and they would flea...
The stone hit it's mark. Her eyes wide as she realized what happened. She fell on the ground. She couldn't see the mob, but she knew they were approaching. Then she noticed the dear. Laying down, blood dripping from it's head. Her eyes watered and she started crying. She hugged her dying dear and cried. She remembered how she played with it when she was a kid. How her mom said that her and that dear where born at the same time... She just stayed there and cried. She cried until they reached her and took her. She cried while they forcefully dragged her and she just couldn't stop. She wouldn't stop.
They were afraid. They could not admit it, but they were scared. They were terrified that she would get angry and attack them. They thought she could destroy them if she wanted. They had no idea that she was weak, she couldn't hurt them at all. They dragged her slowly towards the guillotine they had placed in a big open space in their village, so everyone could see. She couldn't resist. She could do nothing but watch and cry as the put her head under the big rusty blade. She cried and cried, about her dead friend, about her... She could only feel fear and sadness. She silently prayed he would come to save her. She knew he would. She tried to reassure herself. She saved him, multiple times from all sorts of trouble. Now that she needed him, he would be there, surely... But for some reason she was afraid. For some reason, this idea was not comforting... It was like she did not believed it... She looked around her: They were gathered around the stage like flies trying to see... What was it they wanted to see so much? Her heart was pounding. She felt so many emotions... One of them was next to her. He was holding the string attached to the blade above her head...
Suddenly, her eyes widened. All her emotions suddenly stopped, they changed. In the crowd she could see him! She saw his metallic white helmet outside the crowd! She felt so many things... Relief, joy, love... He suddenly shouted. He shouted her name! He hoped on his horse and headed straight into the crowd. He pushed and jumped over people and came closer to the stage with the guillotine. He pulled his crossbow, the one he always had hanging on his back, and targeted the one that was holding the rope, her executioner! He got him in one shot! He fell down, his heavy body hit the wooden stage. She was free! He hoped on the stage and pulled her from the guillotine. She was smiling wide... The crowd panicked, they started running at all directions, screaming for their lives. They were not going to hurt them... From the panicking crowd came a few guards. He shot two of them but run out of arrows. He then pulled his sword! She liked the sword, it was shiny and made from the same metal as the rest of his armor, white and shiny! He impaled one of the guards, the one that was closer to them and quickly hit another one. The last remaining one managed to get his sword out. They fought for a while but his skills were far superior to the simple guard. Once the fight was over, he got on his horse and she hoped on to, feeling ecstatic. From afar, more guards came, armed with better weapons. Not wanting to fight they fled.
She his horse. It was really powerful, but at the same time, kind, just like him. They ran and ran. They run through the forest and finally reached it's edge. There was a big cliff there. Looking down, you could see a river that was streaming from a waterfall. She went there sometimes, the waterfall had lots of plants and mushrooms she needed for her potions around it. The midday sun was powerful and bright. They sat near the edge, on the grass.
She laid down, the edges of her white long hair painted with crimson red blood...
