Sorry its been so long since I last posted, its getting to be exam time :0
It was the afternoon, just after a visit from Albus Dumbledore and Lucy was feeling upset and angry. She had asked the headmaster again about her biological parents and he had been just as tight lipped and secretive as ever. So Lucy had decided to be sneaky and secretive herself, as she followed the headmaster with her eyes out the front door and out the front yard and onto the street. She had quickly hissed for Curie her adder, the snake slithered from the bushes lining the fence of the Zinch residence.
"Yessss?"
"Quick can you follow him, please only for a wee while, then come back and tell me where he went"
"Ofcoursssse"
And with that the snake had flown off with the wings that Lucy had attached a few months ago when the headmaster had been preoccupied with her mothers lovely cookies, and the trace was still inactivated.
Lucy had been curious about where the headmaster had been going after his visit and the Zinch's since she had realized a couple years ago that he never apparated away at the gate to the Zinch residence that allowed some privacy with the large willow tree blocking site from any nosy neighbor's even though he always apparated to it when he arrived. Instead when he left the house after their monthly lessons he would take a right past the willow and walk down the suburban street before taking a left and cutting through the large park, this was as far as she had followed once, before the headmaster had spun on his feet and had apparated away leaving a clearly busted Lucy with the umistakeable caught with the hand in the cookie jar feeling.
But this time she wouldn't be caught as not only, did Curie have wings but she also had a invisibility charm, preventing all but herself to seeing him. This she had put on the venomous snake quite a few years ago. As every time she had talked to the snake and the snake to her, her mother had gotten shivers and looked at the snake with disgust, a look that gave Lucy the odd feeling that rather than the snake, the mother was more horrified with her daughters ability, this had been the only time Lucy had received such a glance and considering how her parents usually had such delight when she found a new magical ability, Lucy knew there was something wrong with this one. So ever since she had kept Curie to herself, they both rather preferred it that way anyhow.
Lucy's mood was marginally better as she creeped back inside the brown wooded two story house, so as to not alert her parents that she had sneaked on the Hogwarts headmaster. But as she heard the muffled voices of her parents from the kitchen lounge area, Lucy decided it wasnt time yet to discard her sneaky shoes and instead for the second time that day she peered and listened unknown to the people closest to her.
"Don't you get frightened sometimes of what she could do?" that was her mothers hushed smooth tone
"I trust Dumbledore and our daughter Irene, I don't see why you always get so worked up, yes she can do dangerous things, but that's our wee girl, that's Lucy she wouldn't", her father let out a small chuckle as his mind flicked to the past
"remember that time that small sparrow flew into the window pane, they were so clean after Dumbledore made her clean the house magically that months visit, but she cried for days before smearing mud and chocolate sauce on all the windows till they were completely black, you were so annoyed at the state of the house. But our little girl was so upset about that bird that we lived like that for a week before we got dark blinds and those tinkling wind chimes that we now have hanging over every window in the house" Evan chuckled, joined by the light chuckles of his wife as she also remembered the time and the beloved antics of their daughter.
But Irene wasn't completely convinced and expressed her fears to her husband as she had done a number of times over the years as her daughter grew more powerful, "But Evan, you didn't experience the wizarding world before, when everyone was at the hands of he-who-must-not-be-named, he was horrible, evil, oh Evan what if our Lucy would turn into such a thing?"
