"Helloooooooooooo!" I shout while knocking on the wooden door ahead of me. "C'mon. OPEN UP!" The door opened. I am greeted with a hundred faces. well, maybe half a hundred. I scan through the crowd of... happy faces? 'till I find one of my friends Dad's, no. not happy. "had a little too much to drink have we? Alright, let's go home." he holds me by the shoulder and gently guides me out of... oh! it's a church. he helps me into his car and puts my seat belt on. I then slowly slip into not consciousness until waking up the next day feeling considerably fine.

I sit bolt upright with no hangover and no regrets. the bed is warm and the air is cool I check the time, I've slept half the day away and don't care. "Mum!" I shout hoping for a "good morning" or more likely "do you know what you did last night?" but there was no reply. "Mum!" I shout again. "Dad!" I add. still nothing. I check my clock again but read the small date at the bottom and slowly realise... "it's been 3 days" I mutter to myself.

I look through my window and see nothing. Absolutely nothing. The kind of nothing where you would expect to see a tumble weed bound through the street. in a blind panic I grab my old school bag and start frantically grabbing clothes and money from my clean ( word loosely used) room.

I struggle to fully zipp up the main large section of the bag but manage it after shifting a few things.

I rush down the stares going two at a time. I find the door off its hynges but proped up against the frame. the cupboards are full and the windows boarded but nothing else is out of the ordinary... until I step into the kitchen. A drag line of blood and finger nail scratches lead out of the smashed patio door. I wasn't going to jump to conclusions before finding my mums glasses, smashed at the start of the blood trail.

I feel tears coming but I know it's no time to cry. Emotions can't stand in the way of the situation at hand. anyway their is no sign of my dad, except his wedding ring he only removes when he gets in a bar fight.

I look around the kitchen and find that the cupboards are full and so remove most of the clothes from my bag and refill it with food. then I begin to exit through the patio door.

before making my way out of the garden into a new unknown world I stop and turn towards my house and say "see you soon" and the house ,of course doesn't reply. so I turn and walk away...
