Chapter 26 *The big day*

"Are you guys ready?"

My dad's voice echoed the quiet meeting hall. All of us are here. Wearing our ball gowns and suits. Why? Cause it's a big celebration. Actually it's a masquerade ball. All the officials and sashins are here.

"Yes!" Everyone shouted except me.

"Noona! Hindi kaba naeexcite?!" Excited na tanong ni kookie sakin.

Naeexcite? Nah, im feeling anxious right now. Napaparanoid narin ako, I don't know what will happened after this. I don't want to die yet. I want to be with Taehyung.

"Why?"

"Basta." I stand up from my seat at lumabas ng meeting hall.

I can't take the atmosphere inside. Feeling ko sinasakal ako. Kung hindi ko lang nakilala si Taehyung, im not going to feel what im feeling right now. Kung sakin lang, hindi ako natatakot mamatay but now? Pagnamatay ako, I know Taehyung will be hurt at ayokong mangyari yun.

I just smiled at naglakad narin papunta sa kotse ko. I started the engine and drove to the said place.

Loud music. Formal people going in and out. A typical formal party but for me it looks like hell. Lahat ng mga demonyo nandito. Nakikilala ko ang iilan and theyre all drugs cindicate.

Mag-isa akong pumasok sa loob. Ayon kasi sa plano hiwa hiwalay kami para walang makahalata. Nakamask naman kami kaya hindi kita yung mukha namin.

I push the button in my ear peice before speaking.

Nilibot ko ang tingin ko sa paligid. There are men in black na hindi naka mask at panay ang tingin sa paligid na akala mo'y may hinahanap.

Naglakad lakad ako hanggang sa naupo muna ako sa seats at uminom ng alak. Later on, makikilala ko na ang papatayin ko. Yes, im the one assigned to kill the heir. Yes I kill. I kill for the sake of the mafia and my family.

"Ladies and gentlemen." Rinig kong bati sa mic ng isang babaeng I guess mc for tonights party.

"Tonight is a big night for us, dahil ngayon natin makikilala ang tagapagmana ng Zinvill Mafia!" All of the people cheered kaya naki cheer narin ako for the sake of my life na hindi mabuking.

"But before that let me give the stage to Mr. Drilon Zinvill." An old guy walk up the stage. I guess he's in his middle 50's. This man is so familiar to me. The founder of Zinvill Mafia.

"Goodevening ladies and gentlemen. Before everything else, thank you for coming to this big night of mine. Tonight I will introduce to you the heir of this mafia."

Yes kaming anim ang nautusang pumasok sa party at makihalubilo. The officials are outside to be our eye.

"I will." I responded.

A guy with a tiger mask walk up the stage with two guards with him. Hindi ko maaninag ang mukha niya dahil sa mask but his built is so familiar to me.

"Please reveal yourself son. It's your big day." The old man said.

Unti unti naman niyang tinanggal ang mask niya revealing his familiar face. I was frozen. Really? Is this it? I can't believe this! THIS ISNT HAPPENING!

"Please welcome the heir of my mafia. TAEHYUNG KIM ZINVILL!"

As if on cue the old man shot dead on his right chest. Sa di kalayuan nakita kong si Chiyo ang bumaril. Nagkagulo ang paligid. But me? I was stood frozen, staring at the guy infront of me. I can see how scared he is in his eyes.

Our eyes meet, and he smiled but look so confused. I can feel my tears fall down. Malapit ako sa stage kaya kitang kita ko siya. The man I love.

Hindi ko aakalaing ako mismo ang papatay sa lalaking mahal ko.

"Taeyeon..." I heard him wispher my name. Halos magkandaumayaw ako sa saya pero hindi eh. Natatakot ako.

Nawala ang ngiti sa labi niya sabay ng pagbago ng kulay ng kaniyang kanang mata. His hazel nut right eye turns to shiny gold. Tinaas niya ang kaniyang baril sabay tutok sakin.

"Taeng!"

Sabay ng pagputok ng baril ay ang pagkatumba ko sa sahig.

"Are you insane?! Magpapakamatay kaba?!" Kyoko shouted habang tinutulungan akong tumayo. Yes he save me from Taehyung's bullet.

Hindi ko na imagine na sa huli kaming dalawa lang naman pala ang magpapatayan. He's not the Taehyung I used to know anymore. He's not the Taehyung I fell inlove with. He's not the real Taehyung. He's not my Taehyung.

I pick up my gun. It's now or never.
