It was the night of the envoy to Ereve that everything had started, I was waiting eagerly for Aria to return with an engagement ring in my pocket. The wind blew abruptly on my face, something didn't feel right. She was at an envoy with the Black Mage to negotiate terms of peace, an obvious trap but I promised I would not interfere and let her do what she has to as an empress. It was getting late, and it was a beautiful and peaceful night with a full moon and starts that adorned the skies, perfect for a proposal.
Until of course you could hear gun shots and blood curling screams, my eyes widened, I apologized to no one ion particular then ran to the garden where the envoy was to find Aria's body all scratched and cut, I only saw a glimpse of a black cape, I clutched it with my hand but it ripped the rest teleported away, I held the hole covered piece of black material in my hand clutching it. I looked toward Aria her silky blonde hair flat and her beautiful lively blue eyes shut forever, I cussed a million time under my breath and fell to my knees slowly after saying every curse that I could think of my voice trembling more and more then crying in between each words, that was the first time I had ever cried since I was young.
My purple eyes filled with tears and my silky blonde hair soaked with the sudden rain my hands reached out for Aria, I wanted to join her, but something told me, my conscious told me 'not yet' I looked up to see the mighty beast of Ereve Shinsoo, he threw me a red gem on a golden chain.
"She said she wanted you to have Skaia and to know that she loved you very much." the beast said, my eyes widened as the jewel fell into my hands, it was the only reason I had came to Ereve but then it turned into so much more, I fell in love. I clutched the jewel and was about to threw it but I wouldn't I couldn't this was the last piece of her I had left. I could feel Shinsoo's wing he hated me, since I was a thief but he was blocking me from the rain. I looked up at the dragon like creature who had a smile for once looking at me.
"I know you crave revenge and want to make Maple World a peaceful place for her, and I believe you will. Good Luck." Shinsoo said, after a moment of confusion I felt courage and pride.
"Thank you, Shinsoo." I said, I teleported back to my flying ship called the Lumiere and now the story of revenge commences.
A/N: This is going to be a heroxhero not naming the names since some people don't know maple story but the ice hero and the thief hero (well gave that one away). Anyway I hope you enjoy :3
