I woke up drenched in my own tears, Aria had died a week ago. I broke many hearts and could move on in a snap but Aria was different it was my heart that was broken. I looked onto my night stand where Skaia lied away from the other jewels since it was different. I pulled my hair and slapped my self trying to snap out of this,.. this phase. I needed to go outside, I needed to see people I needed to avenge Aria instead of staying in my room crying. Finally, I left the phase and moved onto a new one, the craving for revenge. My door opened for the first time in a week and my butler Gaston came.
"Master Phantom how nice to see you outside of your room." he teased.
"Lovely isn't it, I'm leaving this evening." I said walking down the hall, Gaston followed me.
"What do you mean?" he asked, as we continued to walk down halls, left, right, right, right, left.
"I'm going to go fight the Black Mage head on, if I die, well then I die if I don't I don't life is simple we move on after ward with our life the end." I said.
"You were just depressed and now you're going to attempt to kill him?" Gaston asked, I stopped and turned to face him.
"Are you deaf?" I asked, he shook his head and we continued to a dinning hall where I picked up some food then returned to my sleeping chambers, Gaston still following me until I got to my room and shut the door on his face. I sat down at my desk where I would plan thefts, and pulled out a map placing it on the table. The Lumiere could not move since it was under a spell to stay in Ereve. So I put my left index finger on Ereve which was all the way at the west of the map, then my right finger landed at the temple of time the Black Mages's base all the way on the left of the map. So that would be a 2 year trip by foot.
"Of course." I thought to my self, I packed a bag, with food, a water bottle, potions, a blanket, and my wallet, weapons and of course cards. I put the hiking bag on my shoulders, I said bye to every crew member then descended off the Lumiere. Gaston waved me fare well and I did the same. When I made it to Ereve I went to the port where their flying ship would take me to Victoria island which would take about 2 weeks. At the port waited 4 other warriors, they grabbed their weapons at the sight of me the Master Thief Phantom or at least I used to be.
"What are you doing here?" A blonde elf with sky blue eyes asked.
"Ugh, I gave up on stealing okay? Ad I'm going to beat up the wimp with a black cape that killed Aria." I said, their eyes widened.
"Look I know this is going to sound insane but please we need as much help we can get even if it's from you, but help us please join to us we will be more powerful and have greater chance of winning." A human male said with silver hair and blue eyes.
"I'll stand no chance alone so might as well." I said, they all smiled.
"Sorry for the introduction, I'm Luminous, the elf is Mercedes , girl with white hair, ice blue eyes, tanned, and tall, is Aran, the brunet male with a dragon and green eyes is Freud, and the dragon is Afrien." they silver haired man said. Thy all waved and I waved back.
'We'll get to learn more about each other on the ship we have 2 weeks together and about a 2 year trip in front of us." Freud said, I looked over to the immense black and gold dragon who's scales looked so sharp that they would cut you if you simply brush your hand across them. It growled at me and I backed away only a step. The flying fairy ship came into our sights, when it docked about 20 passengers got off panicking and tripping, pushing, and shuffling each other. Only the 4 of us got on the captain stared at us like we were insane but drove nonetheless. We went down a floor where our rooms were and I put my hiking bag in there, I toke my cane and cards just in case. I went to the dock, the ship reminded me of the Lumiere. I sighed as I remembered what a great crew I had.
I leaned on the well carved oak wood railing, looking at the blue sky and fluffy clouds, it was a beautiful and clear day. I smiled a bit to myself remembering that it was the exact same type of day I met my mentor Raven, he was the only one who ever cared for me. Being born into a family of 11 and last doesn't exactly gain you the best childhood. I felt a hand rest on my shoulder lightly, I almost jumped, but kept my calm and turned around snapping out of thought. To see Aran there.
"Mind if I join you?" she asked, I nodded and smiled.
"Yeah I remember it was a day like this when I left Rien to come here and become a royal guard, I never thought I would but I did and now look at me, 16 and going to save the world." she said, I managed to let out a light chuckle.
"Yeah, I'm 16 as well, I've been quite the naughty and bad teenager also quite messed up and bi polar, one day a master criminal the next going off to save the world with 4 strangers." I said, our eyes locked onto each other's her ice blue eyes were filled with dreams, nightmares and memories. I had a feeling she understood me a bit maybe not fully but at least a little bit.
"Wow, I didn't know you actually talked about your information." she said.
"Yeah we'll be together as a group for about 2 years so at least the people I die with should know some stuff about me." I said, we laughed a bit.
"Yeah I suppose." she admitted making us laugh once more. Behind us we heard someone clear their throat we turned around to see Luminous and the other 3.
"So you 2 are 16 as well, that's nice to know we are all the same age." Luminous said.
"Very." Mercedes confirmed her eyes drifting to my direction. Freud looked at me and our eyes locked, he doubted me and so did Luminous but Aran and Mercedes had no doubts. I don't blame them, I was a master criminal and it will be a true burden to earn their trust, yet again it will take them time as well to earn my trust. I looked away from Freud's eyes and went to Mercedes's whom's locked with mine, her sky blue eyes showed a lonely and difficult past, with many painful memories.
"How about we get to know each other a bit, not by name but past wise?" Freud suggested. Everyone agreed, I hesitated but agreed after a bit of convincing. We sat on the deck in a circle as though telling ghost stories, Luminous was first to speak.
A/N: I OWN NOTHING most characters, places and thing are part of maple story but I did change the future couples which changes the story so yeah, anyway I hope you liked and enjoyed reading I'll be so active on this book I swear.
