Lucifer looked down at the phone in his hand. Was he really going to do this? Michael will never forgive me, Lucifer thought, then he sighed in defeat. He had to. He dialed the number and waited.
Michael picked up on the second ring. "Lulu? What's up?"
Lucifer closed his eyes and when he replied, he let his voice shake a little. "Oh, nothing really. I just wanted to hear your voice."
"Lulu, are you okay? What's wrong?" Michael sounded worried.
Lucifer grimaced but kept up the façade. "I-I'm fine. There's just- someone else wants to talk to you."
Michael stiffened. "Who is it? Lucifer? What do they want?"
Lucifer hardened his voice and immediately shifted into his Morningstar persona. "Archangel, it's good to talk to you again. Nice to see you have someone who cares. God knows I don't."
Michael froze. "Morningstar. What do you want? What are you doing to my friend?"
Lucifer chuckled. "He's a little more than that, I'd say. But I haven't done anything. Yet."

"I'm sorry you had to find out like this, Mica." Lucifer stood shakily, the burns on his arms making him woozy.
"Lulu, you're okay. Please. Where's the Morningstar?" Michael was panicking; Lucifer looked as though he'd died and come back. He was confused though. The Morningstar had never done anything like this before. He'd even been thought to have a strict moral code. Why would he do this to a civilian, however much it might hurt his enemy?
Lucifer stopped where he stood when he realized what was happening. His plot had worked too well. Michael still thought he had nothing to do with this. Well, that had to change.
"What do you mean, 'where's the Morningstar?' I thought you were at least somewhat intelligent, seeing as how you managed to beat me several times now."
"Beat you? Are you talking about board games?" Michael's confusion was clear on his face.
Lucifer let out a bitter laughed. "Are you joking? I seriously can't tell. I'm the Morningstar."
Michael gaped. "Lucifer? What? You can't mean that." He shuddered as he spoke.
Lucifer rolled his eyes. "Ever the dramatic," he sighed. "I am the Morningstar, Mica. I can promise you, even I am not stupid enough to lie about this."
Michael was in shock. How could Lucifer, his Lulu, be the Morningstar?
Lucifer could see Michael beginning to panic, and he knew he had to stop him before he did something he'd regret. "Michael, I don't want to hurt you today. But if you don't calm down, I will have to subdue you."
Michael trembled, and took a deep breath, trying to calm down. "How- how can you be the Morningstar? You helped me after all of my battles. You took care of me. And-" Michael gasped as the realization shot through him. All those times when Lucifer was hiding a limp, or trying not to groan in pain as he moved. All those times lined up exactly, with the fights he'd had with the Morningstar. "How did you know it was me? How long have you known?"
Lucifer's shoulders slumped. "At least six months. You weren't very good at hiding it."
Michael's eyes narrowed. "At least? What does 'at least six months' mean? We haven't even known each other six months."
Lucifer shrank under Michael's glare. "I- I don't know how to explain it. It was just this feeling. I just knew that you would be my roommate and what you could do."
