Prologue

"Zakee, you're getting married." Agad naman akong napalingon kay Mommy. What is she talking about?

"Am I hearing things or did you just tell me I'm getting married?" I asked, confusely. The last time I checked, wala namang nag propose sa akin. Heck, I don't even have a boyfriend. 

She smiled sweetly. "Yes, sweetie. You're getting married in 6 months."

"How did that even happen? Wala akong boyfriend, Mom. No one even proposes to me." This is confusing me.

"Anak, hindi ba't you both promised these to yourselves when you were kids?" Promised with who? "Oh! There he is! Come here, anak."

Pagtingin ko sa kausap ni Mommy ay halos malaglag na ang panga ko.

"Zakee, this is Jimin, your fiancé."
