Bethany's POV

Life is unexpected.

You don't know if you are going to live another day or die just tomorrow.

You don't know if you might become the next preskdent and build a Mcdonald's branch in the white house.

Just a month or 2 ago, I was a nerd.

I wore hoodies but I was average. I wasn't the stereotypical nerd but I wasn't the prettiest either.

To say that I was shocked what has been going on recently would be an understatement.

I am not saying that I am not grateful for finding my family, it's just a lot to take in.

And here I am.

Watching my boyfriend strangling the person who ruined my life.

I lifted my hand, my eyes closed, and a zap and a yell was heard.

I opened my eyes and saw Gavin with both his wrist stuck to the wall.

I can get used to this.

My grandma popped up and the crowd bowed, but with confusion written on their faces.

Do I have to bow?

Mmmmm......

Blake wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed my temple.

"That was awesome." He said, smiling at me.

I saw my grandma walk to the crowd and saging something, but I couldn't here. Gavin and his guards were arrested and Remi' body was disposed.

"You know... I thought there would be a lot more drama. Everyone was calmer than inside my head." Blake said while holding my hand.

Then there was silence.

"Are we gonna continue the party orrrr....." Carter said as Jason slapped his head from behind.

Grandma was crowned again and Demi as princess of Meridian.

"A dance?" Blake asked holding his hand out.

I smiled and took his hand.

We danced, laughed, talked poop about other people, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

3 days later....

"It's mine!" Ryder screamed at Carter.

"No your one probably doesn't have a blue stripe on it." Carter said back, holding up his.... Ryder's.... someone's toothbrush.

Yup, they were fighting over a toothbrush.

We were finally packing up to go back home.

Demi hasn't packed yet and I don't know why.

I saw all of her stuff still in her room.

We stayed at the palace for 3 days and it was amazing.

Unfortunately, they were still working on getting my family out of the staff. They said it would take a few months or a year max.

I still can't believe Demi is my cousin.

We both had some quality cousin time, but spends the rest with grandma.

It was nice to have a cousin of my own and a grandma.

I walked out of the room, but heard someone else arguing too.

I peeked a little and saw Rebecca crying and another maid apologising.

"It was an accident ok. I am sorry." The maid said.

"Sorry doesn't cut it, Genesis."

"It's been years. Just get over it." Genesis said, her fingers now on the bridge of her nose.

"No way. You almost sent me to jail. And you say you are my best friend. Well news flash, best friends don't betray best friends." Rebecca snapped before stomping away.

So that's why she was rude at the mall.

I knocked on Demi's door before opening it.

Her old friend, Ally was talking to I think Brooke, while Demi was doing some paper work on her desk.

"Oh hey, Beth. Come in." Demi said, as both the girls looked at me and bowed.

"Um.... isn't my name Sophia?" I asked.

She nodded.

"But I got used tl calling you Bethany. It's fine with you right?"

I nodded.

She looked at the time and her eyes widened.

"Oh god. You gotts get going!" She yelled, pushing herself out of her chair.

"Wait, princess. You forgot to eat your cookie." Ally said holding up a tiny saucer.

"You can eat it. I am late for something. Come on."

I took my bags and head down the large staircase, one that I could never get used to.

The boys were already down talking to Demi.

They were joking around while Demi was all serious.

"I need to tell you guys something." We all turned to her, motioning to continue.

"I am not coming with you." She blurted out.

"You arenot serious, are you?" Alex asked.

"Unfortunately, I am. Very."

"When will we see you?" Ryder said.

She shrugged before leading us to the Portal Room.

"So this is a goodbye forever?" She shaked her head amusingly.

"I will probably come back when least expected." Demi said, smirking.

The portal opened and my grandma came in.

She walked up to me and hugged me. To say I was surprised was an exception.

"Stay out of trouble." I hugged her.

"I'm glad I found you." I whispered as I let her go.

"Bye, cousin." Demi said wirh a small smile.

I smiled back and waved a goodbye.

The boys did their farewells and we stood in front of the portal.

"Ladies first." Blake said, gesturing me to go.

I kissed his cheek and walked forward, closing my eyes.

As I opened them, I noticed I was in my room.

I smiled at the thought of be back home. It felt nice.

I went downstairs and saw my mom (adopted mother) cooking in the kitchen.

"Mom?" As soom as she heard my voice she turned around with wide eyes.

"Bethany! Oh gosh, you are finally home. What happened? Are you hurt? Tell me what happened?" She tackled me with a hug and bombarded me with questions.

She let me go and gave me a questioning look.

A smile grew on my face as I started to recall everything that happened.
