Third Person P.O.V
Kibo ran down the halls of Dream Academy. She looked at her phone for the millionth time, just to make sure.
Come to my office quick! Akari and Sena called back!
There was no doubt about it. There was no mistake. Her best friend's fate would be made clear to her tonight.
Kibo bursted thru Miss Tiara's office. "WHAT DID THEY SAY?" she boomed
"Please close the door," Kibo followed orders without stopping.
"S-so ... what did they say?" she asked
Headmistress Tiara bit her lip and took a deep breath. "Yes ... they're her parents,"
Kibo sat down on a chair, she cried. And she cried and cried. So it was true. This whole time Sena and Akari were Kalani's parents. All those years, not knowing, they were finally over. So Kibo cried and cried.
"They asked for you not to tell her yet, they would like to do that themselves if you don't mind,"
"I don't mind," Kibo said between her cries.
"But you can tell her friends, if they can keep the secret," Kibo nodded, now unable to say anything. Miss Tiara went over to her and put her arms around Kibo.
Later, when Kalani was asleep, Kibo rounded the girls together in the computer lab, told them what had happened and ... they cried too.
Two days later ...
"I see there car!" Kalani cried, then waved. Her friends waved too but with less enthusiasm. "Hey guys!"
As the car parked next to the cabin, Akari and Sena emerged from inside. They forced a smile for Kalani as she ran over, her friends following.
"Hey Kalani," said Akari "It's great to see you again,"
"You too! So what was the urgent 'family matter' you needed to take care of?" she asked
"Um ... should we go?" Daiji asked
"No!" said Kalani "You can stay! There's no need for you to leave! Don't be so shy, Daiji," Daiji bit her lip.
"They don't have to leave if you don't want them to," said Sena
"Of course I don't want them to. Why would I?"
"Kalani ... we have some news," said Sena "And ... well it effects you a lot,"
"W-what is it?" The three of them sat on the porch, the other four tried to back away but Kalani kept forcing them to stay.
"Kalani," said Akari "Long ago we had a daughter. We loved her so much and then ... we lost her. We were out on the mountains and there was a storm. We couldn't find her after that,"
"So what does that have to do with me?" Kalani asked
"We lost her on September 29th," said Sena
Kalani smiled, that was the day right before her ... her smile faded. "No ... no it can't be true!" she cried "Tell me you're not my parents!"
"We saw an old friend of mine," said Akari "Sumire, she confirmed it," Kalani stood up and backed away from Akari and Sena, she turned to Kibo.
"Did you know about this?" she asked. Kibo didn't reply "DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS?!"
"Y- ... Yes,"
"Did all of you know about this?" they slowly nodded. A single tear rolled down Kalani's cheek. "You know what I wished for that night? When we went camping? I wish my parents would be like Akari and Sena ... Is this the star's kind of a joke?"
"Kalani," said Sena
"STAY AWAY FROM ME!!"
Kalani started running away as fast as her legs could take her. "Kalani wait!" Her friends called. But she didn't stop running, she couldn't, cause as soon as she stopped it would reach her, the realization of how real this was. How horribly real her nightmare.
But she had no choice once she tripped and fell to the ground, crying. "Kalani!" her friends called as they reached her.
"Are you okay?" Hikari asked, Kalani shook her head
"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Hana, Kalani shook her head.
"Do you want us to leave you alone?" Daiji wondered, Kalani shrugged.
Kibo sat down next to Kalani's head. Kalani cried and rested her head on Kibo's lap. Her other friends sat around her too, no one said a word and just cried.
