Chapter 9:
Avalon's P.O.V.
"What?" we all three asked.
Drystan smiled. "Oh yes. I have my ways,"
"You can't just change the customes. This will start a rebellion," I said.
He chuckled. "There will be no changing of costoms. But, for you, brother, I will make an exception,"
I stared at him. What was he even suggesting?
Since we were dumbfounded, he explained himself. "You can show yourself to her. I've already signed the document," he said and handed me a scrole.
"What's the catch?" I asked as I finished reading.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"Please, brother. There is always a catch," Braith said and Drystan chuckled.
"A favor. Later through."
"I swear, if it harms her-"
"It won't promise," he said and continued eating.

Haley's P.O.V.
I felt someone sneek into bed with me.
"No, Emma. Go back to your room," I said.
"Think again, princess,"
His voice made me wake up and face his glowing green eyes.
"Hi. I'm sorry I fell asleep," I said and rubbed my eyes, trying to wake up.
"Haley, it's perfectly exceptable. It's nearly 2 in the morning," he said.
There was something about his voice that sounded unnaturally happy at 2 in the morning.
"What are you so happy?" I asked him.
"You'll see this weekend," he said. He leaned down and softly kissed my mark.
"Sleep," he encouraged and I nodded, falling asleep.

The rest of the week passed. And I knew I was going to die.
Avalon hadn't come to see me and I literally thought I would colapse at any moment.
No calls, no late night visits. I was starting to get...worried.
I didn't want to call him and be THAT girl.
Where are you? What are you doing? When are you coming to see me?
No.
He did hint that I would see him today or tomorrow. It was saterday morning, and I stare at myself in awe.
Elena had bought me this ugly, pink, poofy dress that I just HAD to wear today. When this whole birthday thing blows over, I'm shredding the dress.
"Haley! Are you ready?" Elena yelled from downstairs.
As ready as ever. "Yeah, be down in a sec!"
I brushed my teeth and then brushed my hair into a high ponytail.
"Come on, Haley! We don't have all day!" I heard Emma yell.
I giggled before appying black make up and walking down the stairs bare footed.
When I made it to the bottom, I looked up to see my family.
Elena, Aaron, Emma, Charlie, The Lizzard, and Damon all stood up around me and sang happy birthday to me.
