Chapter 1 - Jack

I gathered my things from my locker and headed off to my next class. I don't know why your reading this, it's pretty boring to say the least. It's just my boring teenage life.

I opened the door to my homeroom and made my way to my seat, being pushed around as I did so. When teacher isn't around, this school is chaos.

I sat down and settled in, getting the things I needed out. I glanced to the side to a see a boy looking out the corners of his eyes at me.

As soon as he realized I was looking, he returned back to his friends.

Jack Avery, he always kept to himself, other than his friends. You never see him eat or anything. But from what I heard, if you wanna find him he's usually in the dark part of town.

Where everything is beat up and broke down. Clouds are always above it, keeping anyone from ever seeing the sun. I think he lives there.

The school bell interrupts my thoughts and everyone is calm in their seats as our homeroom teacher walks in.

I glance to the side again to Jack once again, staring at me. We both look away.

Why the hell was he staring at me? That kid likes no one. Does he like me? No, he would tell me. He feels someway about you, he'll tell you.

I glanced one more time, you guessed it he was staring at me. I just rolled my eyes this time.

Soon class ended and we could go home. Good thing I had homeroom at the end of school.

I made my home like always, but one thing I hated. I had to walk through the dark part of town.

Let's hope I don't get kidnapped.
