Maya’s P.O.V
“What are they doing Thimbletack?” I asked watching a car pull up into the drive.
“I don’t know but we have to get them to leave by morning” He said his small face looking worriedly out the window. The car stopped and just sat there for a few minutes, “maybe their leaving” I said hopefully, “wait nope” I sighed seeing the humans start to get out.
I jump off the table and start running to the secret door, “where are you going?” Thimble asked, “Um to see the humans” I said and quickly disappeared before he could argue.
I popped out from behind a wall and watched as a woman and a young boy with a cat probably around my age walk in. I heard Thimbletack run across the floor to get to me and saw the woman try to spot what was making the noise.
The boy stroked his cat and whispered in his ear then looked around “Arrgh it smells like old people” He said wrinkling his nose, the woman whom I assume was his mother gave him a look making him backtrack quickly “Just an observation not a judgment”.
The mum shook her head and walked out, “He’s cute” I whispered to Thimble, making him ‘shh’ me. The boy looked around with his flash light trying to see something but he obviously couldn’t see us since he went over our spot twice.
He shrugged and walked out leaving me with an angry looking Thimbletack who was looking pointedly at me, “Bye” I said quickly and disappeared back through my wall knowing he couldn’t catch me if I ran fast.
