"Well, I had no choice when I was younger I was immediately trained in light magic as soon as discovered it, I became the best in Aurora as was sent to be a royal guard I never thought I would be doing this but I am." Luminous said.
"What about your family?" Aran asked.
"Oh, uh my mom died a week after my birth and my dad commuted suicide 5 years later on my birthday since it pained him to see me, because all he saw was my mother. I had no siblings so I was toke in by the master of light soon to know that I was to be his successor and that I am now. I can't quite remember my mother since I only saw her when I was a new born, but I know she was kind as warm hearted." he said. After an awkward moment if silence Freud thought it would be best to start his story.
"I grew up on a farm with an older brother, a mother and father but I sucked at it, it just wasn't for me. My family would always nah at me my brother throwing in insults that I actually believed was true, 'I didn't belong in a farm I was useless' he said constantly. One day I ran away from home and found used in a forest which was strange because there weren't any forests around there. Then a found a humongous black dragon. He was breath taking, I got closer ad as soon as I touched his forehead his eyes opened.
'You who is destined to be a dragon master, take me.' It said, I did as told and bonded with it. Shortly after I told my family that I would go be a royal guard and now I'm here." Freud said, this time only 30 seconds of silence lasted before Mercedes spoke.
"I...I never got to see my family, the comity of elders toke me in and told me I was the future ruler of Elluel. I never got to play with the other kids, I never got to learn like them, nothing I was all alone and no one understood me, they all envied me while I envied them. Then after a bit I got a letter from Aria, she requested my help and I came to Ereve where she allowed me to be a regular royal guard. That is all." she said, I could tell by her eyes there was still more, but Aran went. On before I could figure out what.
"Uh, my parents had died in a war when I was 6, I was raised by penguins and became their warrior their guardian, when one day a letter came to me, asking me to help around the palace as a royal guard, my town sent me off happily, and now I'm here." she said.everyone turned to me. I let out a sigh.
"Alright, my family consisted of me, my father, mother and younger sister, Lily. I grew up in Ariant each day getting something stolen from us. It sucked but one day I fought back I was about 6 I believe and then I met him, Raven my mentor, he told me
I had great potential and would succeed him one day. Eventually I did and became a grey thief, when he commuted suicide for a girl I promised myself I would never fall in love and break girls heart, that is until I met Aria on her balcony. We'd always mess around and have fun. I loved her, I was going to engage to her after she returned from her envoy but,... you know the rest of that and now I found myself here." I said, when I finished talking all 4 of their mouthed dropped.
"So, y-you're only a thief for your family?" Aran asked.
"At first but then they declined me and told me I was a disgrace, so I simply forgot about it." I said. Luninous charged an energy ball and shot it at me, making me almost fly off the ship, but I caught the railing.
"You left your family because of that you were lucky you even had a family." Luminous said.
"YOU DONT KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE YOUR FAMILY FIGHT ABOUT HOW THEIR GOING TO ABANDON YOU TO GET MORE MONEY, THEN KILL YOUR YOUNGER SISTER FOR FOOD!" I yelled, my eyes widened in realization to what I just said.
"I'm sorry, I probably don't know much more then you do, I'll be in my room." I said calmly as I walked to my room. I felt someone grab my arm with a light grip but I stopped and turned around to see Mercedes crying.
"Y-you understand how it's like to be a-alone, nobody else did but you do." she sobbed, her body pressed against mine as I felt her tears go threw my fabric, my arms wrapped around her and my chin rested on her head.
"Hush, hush, you were never alone from what you said you had the comity of elders. I'm pretty sure they cared for you very much." I said, I stroked her hair with my white gloved hands. I could feel her years diminish at my words. She looked up at me.
"You're very nice for a thief." she said.
"Only one side of me is, but like everyone else I have my dark side, you'll see it in the final battle." I said.
"As much as I do hate to admit it, we'll all see different sides of each other on this trip." Luminous said.
"And also it's not going to end at the final battle there will be so much more." Mercedes added.
"We all have to stick together till the end or we have no chance of surviving." Freud said.
"So are we up for this?" I asked, we all grinned and screamed 'YEAH!'they went into a group hug and I decided to stay out of it. Aran motioned me over, I shrugged and joined, suddenly the ship jolted. Making me sword area from the group and fly off the ship and grip onto the rail as my last resort, one hand on the rail and one on my hat I hung on as the wind violently hit me. I looked up terrified to see Balrogs.
I pulled my self up back onto the railing, my eyes narrowed and I shot a card under neath it.
"CALLING CARD!" I said, at these words energy beams hit the Balrogs scaring the away, I swiped my hand threw the air and the card returned to me, I placed it in my pocket, with a sigh. The others looked at me in shock as to what just happened.
"Ugh, to become a true master thief you need to beat your master in a fight, plus I only coward away from fights when I'm stealing." I said.
"I have an idea let's spare and see everyone's different skill it will be easier todo em a plan that way." Luminous suggested.
"Maybe tomorrow Lumi, we already had that fight with the Balrogs and I'm gettin' tired." Freud said streetching.
"Alright we meet here at noon." Aran stated. We all agreed, and I went back to my room, I closed the door behind me and went to the window. My hand went into my right pocket and I pulled out Skaia.
"this is all for you Aria, you will be avenged and maple world will be peaceful, even if it costs me my life, your dream will come true,... I promise." I thought to myself. I glanced at the night sky which had stars all around but no moon. My door opened behind me making me jump and turn around to see Mercedes, she closed the door behind her and walked up to me.
