She breathed for silence
To feel the absence draw through her eyelashes
Engulfing the suppressed tide of her throat
Her sick brain verging on the lines
Vessels in the blood from her eyes
Needing her paralyzed voice to drown her
She breathed for the quiet
Her only solace on the shower floor
Where the liquid salivated on her wounds
Swallowing the inflictions of who she hurt
Caressing her hair until the weight shoved her into the drain
She breathed in the storm
The electricity that crackled in her thoughts
A plague of grotesque fog staining her mirror reflection
Her head full of their noise in the distance
Cradling her loneliness in the calm of their hurricane
Where no one could reach to her
She breathed underwater
The bathtub filling with her tears
Submerging her pain in self-destructive stillness
A pulse in her ear drums
Where there was gravity in her bones and darkness in her mouth
Weightless as her doubts separated to the surface
A place where no one could reach her
A place where no one could speak to her
A place where she began to saturate
In the death of true silence
