Leo stood studying in his little office space. Wracking his brain for things he could use to keep Nohr from being attacked from its weak side.
"Leo!" Corrin's head popped through the door.
"Ah, Corrin come in..." He sighed.
"Uh, your retainers are here to see you..." She said eyes wide.
"Really?...Fine send them in." The prince rolled his eyes. A man with an eyepatch and silvery hair walked in followed by a blonde, younger looking man in a cloak.
"Ah Lord, Leo!" The blonde said giving a deep bow.
"What do you want? Niles if this is about Camilla I told you there are no portraits where shes Naked!" Leo said resting his head on his fist.
"Well...that's not...the ONLY thing I came to talk to you about..." The archer scratched his head pushing his white bangs to the side.
"We have but a humble request from your elder brother." The blonde said enthusiastically.
"Xander?" Leo straightened. "Sure...tell me, Odin." He said opening his eyes wide.
"Nothing serious my lord! Just a...little family thing." He giggled. Leo's eyes narrowed. Odin handed him the note.
"You may go..." He said dismissively.
"An honor of course!" Niles said. On the way out Niles passed Corrin in the hall. "Ah the lovely Corrin, you look radiant today." He said kissing her hand.
"Niles...we are both happily married.." She said raising an eyebrow.
"Oh-ho! I am aware!" He winked and with that, she walked off.
Leo opened the envelope. Beautiful gold-tipped paper framed Xander's excellent handwriting.
Dear Brother Leo,
Azura and Laslow have won a family vacation to the beach. I understand how Corrin may be unable to attend but Elise made me promise to ask if you'd come. Please think about it. Also, the Mokushijun resistance has rallied an attack on the Hoshidan capital. We are assembling the army in a few days. If you have the tactics I'd love to hear them.
Sincerely,
King Xander
Leo put the note in his drawer. A warm voice came from behind the door.
"Leo?"
"Come in, Corrin..." Leo said rubbing his temples with his thumb and forefinger.
"What was that about?" Corrin asked with her hands on her hips.
"Well..."
