i'm forever yours...

n: hey what's your fave song?

j: that's kind of a difficult question to answer. lots of great songs out there.

j: what about you?

n: i like pop music :)

j: not surprising

n: oh???

n: what's that supposed to mean?

j: nothing. i just expected it.

n: hmph.

j: being predictable isn't a bad thing, nance.

j: i like classic rock

j: so like, journey and pearl jam and zeppelin and pink floyd and stuff like that

n: pick a song by one of them

j: why?

n: just do it :)

j: okay...

j: faithfully by journey?

n: great! that works! :)

j: what are you doing???

n: nothing :) just looking for song suggestions

j: for what??

n: i'm gonna learn to play it on piano and then sing it to you!

j: oh

n: what?

j: nothing.

j: no one's ever done that for me before.

n: well there's a first for everything.

n: you deserve it

j: nancy i don't know if i can do this

n: do what???

j: this. i just...i feel like you have no idea what you're getting into.

n: what are you talking about???

j: i feel this connection with you, but i just...dont know if this will work in the long run

n: why???

n: you haven't even given it a chance yet!

n: and we're just friends right now!

j: i know. so let's keep it that way.

n: okay...

n: but i do like you...

n: and i want to know that there's a future for us someday.

j: i can promise that we'll be friends.

j: as far as anything else...i don't know, nance

n: okay.

n: i can deal with that.

j: you shouldn't have to deal with anything.

n: but i will.

n: i like you.

j: i like you too.

j: how is mike?

n: better. he's still doing outpatient treatment and weekly therapy sessions with other teens.

n: thank you again for finding him.

n: i still feel disgusted with myself for letting him get away like that.

n: how's will?

j: good. he's already taking college classes. he's a genius.

n: i miss college

j: i miss seeing you here.

n: i have to go

j: okay...

j: i feel like i upset you.

n: it's fine.

n: i understand.

n: i'm not upset.

n: i'm still gonna learn to play that song for you though.

j: thanks nance.

j: the problem is that you're really cool, and i just don't deserve someone like you.

j: you're not like everyone else.

n: jonathan...

j: just give me some time, okay?

j: i've never dated anyone before. i don't even think anyone's ever liked me.

n: oh.

n: well that's okay. because i like you lots.

n: a whole lot more than i originally planned.

n: maybe time is a good thing.

j: yeah. we've got plenty of time.

j: friends?

n: of course. :)
