Chapter 37

Skyler's POV

"Ashton Irwin?" Michael says shocked Calum and Luke share a look "yeah?" "what's wrong with him Mikey?" I ask finishing my drink "nothing it's just he's a year above me, didn't even knew he drummed" "I think he's cute" I say randomly making them all glare at me 

"what?" I ask holding my hands out defensively. Luke rolls his eyes "so we should call him right?" "Yeah we can set up a practise time" I clap my hands together "remember us when your famous" Calum kissed Natalie on the cheek "how could I ever forget you" "ew!" Luke, Michael, and I whined making them chuckle. 

"Where's Calum?" I ask looking around Michael shrugs checking his phone "Natalie and him went to the board walk" "What! During band practise?" I say shocked Luke shrugs continuing to tune his guitar. I sit down on a stool and begin to spin around when there's a knock on the door. 

"I'll get it" Michael says running up the stairs leaving Luke and I in the basement. He bites his lip "what if he hates us, I mean he's a third year?" "He already wants to be in the band just don't worry" I say crossing the room and putting a hand on his shoulder. "So this happens a lot" 

Michael says "don't mind them they flirt constantly" he tells Ashton we both blush turning towards him. "Shut up Michael" we say in sink he smiles and I see two dimples appear, "Hey I know you, you work at this video store right?" I ask 

"uh yeah I used too" he admits fiddling with his hands "what do you mean use too I saw you there like last week?" "Yeah I got fired" "why?" "boss said I tapped to much" he shrugged I smiled knowing he'd fit in fine. "You can stay" I joke giving Luke a final look before leaving his garage "you guys have fun" I sing leaving his house.

Natalie's POV

"I have a feeling Luke and Michael are gonna kill me once I get back there." Calum said as we walked along the wood, his hand in mine.  "Why?" I asked, as stopped for a moment.  We looked at the brightly painted spinning tea cups, seeming to blur.

"Well today....we kinda maybe had a band practice...." he started, avoiding my gaze. "Cal!" "Well I figured that he should get used to Luke and Michael first..." "No Cal, that's it, you're going back NOW!" I ordered.

I gripped onto his hand as we began to walk the opposite direction, okay I was really trying to drag Calum back to the truck.  However, Cal was always stronger than me, and he pulled me back to him and shut me up by kissing me.  Sad thing is, he is my krptonite.  God if he wasn't so cute and sweet all the time I wouldn't have that problem.  But hey, I'm not complaining!

"Babe we might as well enjoy this day anyways!" Calum said to me.  "Annddd just so you know band practice finished...." I rolled my eyes and we enjoyed a couple hours at the boardwalk, the sun shining brightly.

We drove back as we took a quick detour at the Glob.  We were going through the aisles before I heard a very familiar voice call behind us.  "Yo Calum!" Michael called as he came up to us.

"Why the hell did you skip?" Michael asked "Sorry dude, I have this girl, and I figured you two could just get used to him." Calum said, trying to convince Michael.  Michael sighed and said "You better come next time!"

Calum nodded and said "I'll make sure of it."  Michael then turned to me and said "Can you make sure your boyfriend doesn't go skipping on us again?  At least I know it was with you and not something else." "Of course!  He's more likely to skip class than me." I said hitting him.

"Uh excuse me?" he asked, tickling me a little as I giggled and said "Stoopppp you know how I am about tickling!"  Calum winked at me "Trust me I know."

"Oh dude that's just gross!  You know what I was gonna get a slushie but after all this sappy stuff, I think I just lost my appetite!" Michael said walking out of the Glob.  I rolled my eyes at his immaturity before Cal said "Come on I'll drop you off at home."

I went over to Skyler's right away and she opened the door right away.  She grinned at me before saying "So you're turning into a rebel couple?" I rolled my eyes and said "It was ONE practice!  Be lucky that we're not skipping play rehearsal, or school." 

Skyler was the one to roll her eyes and said "I was KIDDING!  Jeez don't be so serious!" She lead me into her house and we slumped down onto the couch.  "Soooo how was that date then?" she asked opening a bag of chips for us share.

"Well we went to the boardwalk...obviously we had a good time!" I said.  I could still feel the sea breeze whipping through my hair, and the salty smell of the ocean and the funnel cake.  

"Well you enjoyed yourself!" Skyler said taking a chip.  "Oh so what did you do?" I asked, taking a couple chips, despite the fact I had shared a lot of junk food with Calum.  "Wellll I visited the boys practicing, but I just stayed home...." "And was on Tumblr?" 

"How did you know...??" she joked pulling a questioning face.  I play punched her and said "Please I know my best friend well enough that she would do the thing she's best at."
