Dark woods surrounded me. It was pitch black, sticky warm, and foggy. I didn't recognize where I was. I must have wandered too far following a pretty white rabbit. It had disappeared once it became dark and I was left alone in the heart of the woods. I let out a quiet, shaky sigh, sitting against a tree. Mosquito's flew around me, the buzzing of their wings ringing in my ears. There were crickets and frogs chirping distantly. I pulled my legs up to my chest, resting my arms and head onto them. Loneliness and fear crept through me. I was listening intently, when there was a sudden silence. I looked up, trying my best to make out what was around me. After staring into the darkness for a few minutes, I began to hear a low, soft hum. But it soon, gradually became louder. I wanted to stand, but I felt frozen in my spot, the hum becoming more daunting, sending a chill through me.
The hum felt as though it was being sang into my ear.
It was a calming lullaby, but I didn't feel relaxed.
Something struck against my arm, yanking me off the ground and into the air.
I let out a shriek of terror as a figure appeared in front of me.
They tilted their head, placing me over there shoulder.
I began to struggle, but their grip on me was tight, their hum echoing through the shadowy woods. I gave up my struggle, falling limp against their shoulder, watching the ground sway underneath me.
