Marinette slammed her eyeliner down on her vanity. She shook her head wildly to get her head out of the clouds. 'What am I doing?' She thought 'if I put eyeliner and mascara on it's going to run at the funeral.' She put other makeup that wouldn't get ruin if she was crying then look at herself in her full sized mirror. She soomthed out the wrinkles on her little black dress then slowly walked down the stairs. She was on the last step when she put her hand on her earlobe. She forgot the earrings! Marinette was running late. Too briskly she ran back up to her room causing her trip on one of the last steps and fall.
She stood up and felt a pain in her knee, she had scrapped her knee when she fell. She tried pulling her dress over her knees with no luck. She thought about putting bandages on it but was already running late. She open the vanity drawer were she put the box and as quick as she could put the earrings on. She immidatly felt an energy run through her like bolt of lighting. This shocked her enough that she fell over again this time hitting her head on her desk. While she fell a ball of energy appeared above the box. The energy disappeared leave what looked like a ladybug with a massive head and no wings just a body of polka dots.
The sight caught Marinette's voice. She wonder how her great grandmother came of possession of those magical earring? What magical abilities did it possess? The bug like creature flew in front of her "Hello Marinette" The creatures voice was young and sweet as if the bug was her age. The bug seemed happy to see her and another question popped into her head how did it know her name?"
She didn't realize she was screaming or doing anything at all. It was brought to her attention of what she had been doing by the bug creature who had covered her mouth with her tiny hands. "Stop screaming you're parents can't know I exist." The creature whisper-yelled.
Marinette turned around and noticed she was clawing at the walls frantically, as if she was going to dig a hole in the wall to escape the creature. Marinette calmed down, it was the size of her palm and would have a hard time hurting her.
"Are you poisonous?" Marinette whispered the question as the creature told her to be quiet.
"Of course not, don't you recognized me?" Marinette shook her head to surprise that the bug thought she knew her. The bug gave a hearty and annoyingly loud laugh that didn't sound like it could come from someone so small. "It was a joke, I look nothing like the great grandmother you knew."
...
...
...
"What!" Is all she could say about the bug's claim.
"I will explain everything as long as you don't interupet me." Said the creature still floating in front of her. Marinette being ridiculously confused nodded her head vigorously.
"Ever since human kind there have magical jewelry called miraculouses. Miraculous give the person wearing them enhanced abilities. There are only a few of us and we pass down the jewelry to the youngest member of the family, when we believe that we will pass soon. I am now a kwami, a kwami is the sprite of the last miraculous holder, here to teach them about all the things you need to know about your miraculous."
"Zuma...prove it tell me something only she would know." Marinette was skeptical of the bug's claim, but she did calm down a bit.
"Hm...your first kiss with Adrien, he had finally beat you at this video game you two are always playing. You leaned in to kiss him when I interrupted it saying 'Marinette I might of shrunk your underwear in the laundry' I went up to your room and show him your."
"Ok, ok I believe you. Why did you have to remind me of that?" She covered her face in embarrassment When the feeling has passed she put her kwami in cupped hands, "I can't believe I still get to see you." A warm smile form on Marinette's face. "Wait the only super human I know is." Her mouth form a kwami size o. She got up a went to her desk, she flipped through a magazine until she found a picture of a old lady wearing a red with black dotted suit and mask. "You can't be Ladybug, you can barely stand."
"That what everyone believed" the kwami said hovering next to her shoulder. giving Marinette a smug look. "It was an easy way to take the suspicion away from me."
"That how you were always escaping you would transform jump out the window and fight bad guys?" She sat down on a small bed shock by all the things she was learning.
The kwami nodded her head. "Marinette we need to go now, we're going to be late." Her father called from the downstairs bakery. Marinette got so distracted with her tiny miracle that she forgot about the funeral.
She ran pass the kwami and put her foot on the top step when the kwami called out to her.
"Marinette you need to get a bag to hide me in." Marinette tilted her head confused. "I follow you in case you need to transform." Marinette shivered, she didn't like the idea of her great grandmother following her everywhere. She would over hear everything she said at school. But she got the only bag she left out of her closet, her pink initialed bag and opened it towards the kwami so she could fly in. "Are we ready to go Zuma?" The girl asked her kwami.
"Yes, but you have to stop calling me Zuma. It makes me feel old. Call me by my real name, Tikki."
30 minutes later Marinette is in the front row of the church feeling the eyes of relative she hardly see stare at her in disgrace. They saw Marinette bag and thought such a causal piece was rude to bring to her Great grandmother funeral. Marinette ignored them and tried to pay attention to the guy in front talking about her great grandmother. But the notion of the kwami sitting in her bag kept popping into her head. How is this even possible? She was an average girl, cliche but true, who knew magic now. She was a superhero in training. She tried to look sad, it was a funeral after all but It was hard to do that when the spirit of your great grandmother is in the bag around your shoulders.
The guy stepped down from the front, so people say their eulogies. Mari didn't volunteer because of her crazy shutter. She watched and listened to friends and family share story about her beloved great grandmother. The last person to go up was her old friend May.
Being almost as old as Marinette's Zuma she used a cane to walk up to the front slowly. Finally she got in front of the casket and looked at us. "Tikki, was a very lighthearted person. Even in bad health she was always happy." That's because she was faking it, thought Marinette. "So, I think it fair that I tell you the time she found the most hilarious. We were nine and had the biggest sweet tooths, so we collect our spare change to spend on candy at the sweet shop on the corner of my street. It felt like back then we went in there every other day. That day I got a lollipop, she asked for a fruit by the foot. The owner got her some and she said it not fruit by the foot this is fruit by the meter."
A loud crackle came form someone in the audience. Marinette looked to her side to see the kwami laughing in her bag. Crap, why is her humor so bad she thought. She open her mouth and hugged her sides, pretending it was her laughing at the bad comedy. This caused her to get more stared from relatives. The funeral when back to normal after the kwami's  laughter died down.
Now the funeral has ended and Marinette sits in the backseat of her parents car thinking about what happened at the funeral silently. The kwami bored has fallen asleep on her phone If I already had to cover for her in the two hours I've had the miraculous. It going to be a rocky road.
