Katill:
She stormed into her office furiously with Monique hurrying right behind her as she slammed the door closed then paced like a trapped animal in a cage. She had no idea what she was going to do or what she could do, but accept the fact that she was going to have none other than Raphael Shaw shadow her whether she wanted him to or not and she definitely didn't want him too.
"Katill it's not the end of the world so you have a young gorgeous attorney shadowing you for a few weeks it could be much worse" Monique said trying to make her feel better.
"How?" Katill growled.
"For one he could be ugly then you wouldn't have anything to drool over" Monique joked making Katill quirk in eyebrow in distaste at the consideration that she would even find him remotely attractive.
"Raphael Shaw is ugly inside and out. From his personality to his appearance and to that damn inflated ego. How the hell am I suppose to survive not ripping him apart?" she snarled as she stopped pacing to lean on the front of her desk.
"First of all before you jump to conclusions you haven't even met him yet. Second of all everything you've just said has come from bad tabloid magazines that thrive on the downfall of successful people and third he probably isn't like that behind the camera. You never know maybe he could surprise you; in fact he could be the one you've been searching for" Monique smiled.
"You know I don't believe in that stuff. I've been married and divorced all in the same year. I'm not looking for the one anytime soon and I highly doubt I'll even find him. I have a career to focus on and not the ridiculous notion of entertaining Raphael Shaw ".
"Well whatever you say, all I'm trying to tell you is to just give him a chance. Please at least get to know him first before wanting to rip his throat out"
Monique told her gently before taking her leave and closing the office door behind her. She left Katill standing there in her thoughts from the suggestions, still she had a feeling she wasn't wrong about him. She knew his type; the playboy that would smile for the camera then pretend for women. She hated men like him, they reminded her that love was a very rare thing in the world.
*****************************After a few minutes Samantha set a stack of files about Raphael on her desk, flashed her a sympathetic grin and exited. Katill stared wide-eyed at the wide stack of the files; how much could there possibly be on this man. He wasn't even that important in her opinion. Sighing she thumbed through the first few files and was amazed at what she quickly learned about him.
He only lost three cases in his entire career which was very impressive and similar to her own record. He switched from being a defense to prosecutor every few months and was voted one of Washington's most influential bachelors. Deeper into the files she also learned that were numerous scandals about his liaisons with different women and most of them were married. She recognized some of the names that were listed and she frowned at that.
"This guy is a total pig" she said out loud to herself disgustedly.
"That's the first time a woman has called me that" a sexually erotic voice replied from her office door. Clutching the files tightly in her right hand she stood up to face none other the man she was reading about at this moment; Raphael Shaw.
Oh....My....God
She hated to admit it he was much more handsome then he was depicted on tv; the man looked damn near edible. She licked her lips hoping to capture any drool that might escape from between. She eyed him up and down taking in every delicious part of him.
He stood in the doorway of her office casually leaning on the frame with a wicked smile of amusement plastered on that gorgeous sculpted face. She was mesmerized by those light hazel brown eyes that were glowed under long framed lashes.
