Feathers sighed. He didn't want to go to class. He already knew how to control the wind and clouds, although he was still a novice. He flicked his tail to the side with a shrug.

I guess I have to, he thought rolling his dark cobalt eyes to the side.

He spread his feathered, white wings, shook his tail and ascended off from his house porch to his class. As he climbed higher in the sky he could feel the wind flying through his wings as he spun around in the clouds. He inhaled the fresh cool air and closed his eyes. A few moments later he noticed a building on the side of a mountain with a landing pad. He folded his wings slightly and aimed for the landing pad. The rush of wind felt so cool on his fur as he dove from the clouds. Soon enough he landed lightly on his paws and folded his wings, sighing. As he looked around the landing pad he saw his teacher. His lavender, whisp shaped necklace fluttered in the wind as he tapped his paw on the concrete in annoyance.

"About time Feaths, you realize you are 5 minutes late." He said ruffling his wings.

"S-sorry Cloud." Feathers said as he bit his lip.

"It's fine I guess," Cloud said rolling his eyes, "Just remember to come earlier."

Feathers nodded his head in agreement.

"Today you will be learning how to use you wind powers to shoot clouds across the sky, this ability is very important in combat if you want your enemy to keep away from you" Cloud said rubbing his paws together, "It's quite simple, just watch me."

Feathers sat down on the concrete and curled his tail around his paws. He loved watching Cloud move the clouds and create wind. Cloud lifted his head to the sky and lifted into the sky towards a cloud. He rotated his paws around each other creating a small blue light with them.

"Are you watching because this is the most important part!" Cloud yelled from above.

He then gestured his paws to the cloud in front of him and shot his power to the cloud, sending it reeling across the sky. Feathers looked to the sky amazed. Cloud fluttered back to where Feathers was sitting, smiling.

"That was amazing!" Feathers said clapping his paws together.

"Thank you, now it's your turn," Cloud said, gesturing to a cloud up above, "I will fly up with you if you're nervous."

Feathers then so shot up into the sky creating a dust cloud around his mentor. He looked to a cloud and inhaled softly concentrating on his magic. As his mentor was hovering beside him, Feathers looked over to his master and gave a soft smile. Feathers looked down at his forepaws and circled them around each other creating a small blue light between them. He glanced over to his mentor and shot the light at the cloud sending it across the sky.

"Well done Feathers!" Cloud exclaimed, "Now it's time we head to the classroom, you still have studying to do."

Feathers folded his wings and ambled into the class. As he walked into the room, light immediately hit his fur. The room was filled with large windows and shelves upon shelves of books. Each book was on an alphabetical ordered shelf and each shelf was neatly organized. He sat on cobalt blue carpet with grey whispy patterns on it symbolizing the wind. He folded his tail around his paws and looked to his mentor. Cloud walked to the front of the room and tossed him a history book with the title 'The Elemental Wolves'. The cover had 5 silhouettes of wolves howling. He looked down at the dusty book, frowning.

"We already read this." Feathers said rolling his eyes.

"Yes I know, but you need to know your knowledge about the ancient wolves of the past," Cloud said putting a paw on the front cover of the book. "It's important if you are to save the world one day."

Cloud opened his own copy of the book and told his student to turn to the chapter 'The 5 Paws'.

"Now, can you tell me the names of each of the 5 Paws?" Cloud said tilting his head to his student.

"Of course, we have been through this a MILLION times!" Feathers said ruffling his feathers, "There was an Aviary Wolf named Sky, a Flame Wolf named Ash, an Ocean Wolf named Seashell, an Ice Wolf named Tundra, and last but the most important a Nature Wolf named Timber."

"Very good!" Cloud said nodding his head, "Now can you tell me their importance?"

The little wolf rolled on his back, tired of the same question always being asked to him.

"The '5 Paws' were a group of wolves that helped to restore peace to the 5 kingdoms and destroyed the Darkness Wolves that came to our world."

"Very well done once again Feathers," His teacher said smiling at him. "Now one last thing before your class is over. Who were the Darkness Wolves?"

"They were a huge pack of evil wolves that came from The Underworld. They wanted to take over the world and have it become theirs, but the 5 Paws stopped them."

His mentor nodded.

"You are doing great in your studies," Cloud said putting a paw on Feathers head, "Soon you will be able to meet the other wolves destined to be apart of the 5 Paws with you."

"But how soon?" Feathers complained, putting the book aside, "I've been studying this book front and back for months! There's nothing else I need to know."

"Very well then," Cloud sighed, scratching his chin, "If you think you are ready I will ask the leaders of each tribe to send in their Paws."

Feathers looked toward his mentor with an excited grin, spreading his wings.

"Really? You're actually having me meet them?" Feathers yelped, jumping up and down.

"Well, you were going to have to meet them eventually.. of course it would be sooner than later since the prophecy will come into play soon..." Cloud responded, sitting down on the cold floor.

"Do you know the other Paws' names?" Feathers asked, hoping to get some more insight on who he was going to meet.

"Well I know of two, one of them being Seashell, a water elemental wolf, and Inferno, a fire elemental wolf," Cloud answered, scratching his head.

"When am I going to see them?" Feathers asked, still beaming at the thought of meeting the other Paws.
