~The Yule Ball~

The Yule Ball has been going better than I expected. Having George Weasley as my date was one of the best ideas Ron could ever have! The twins always brought a smile on my face whenever I saw them and being here with George was just guaranteed to be a good time. He didn't seem to care at all about not having a date, he would have gone without one in fact, wasn't it for Ron's last minute interference.

George started laughing when Ron and I went to find him so that I would ask him. At first he found my suggestion ridiculously amusing, but soon after, he accepted with a bow and like a fine gentleman, took my hand in his and placed a soft kiss on it.

I later found out that with his gentleman act, he had managed to slip a letter in my coat's pocket. It was written on yellow parchment paper, with bright red letters and had a big red "W" at the right top corner.

It said:

My Dear Alexandria,

I hope that you knew what you were signing up for, asking me for your date.

Get ready for some mischief,

Yours truly,

George Weasley

When I first read the letter I didn't understand what he really meant, but now I think I do.

I had been dancing for hours. My head was light and my body felt warm, but I was having the time of my life along with pretty much everyone.

What George meant by "get ready for some mischief" had to be that he made butter beers more potent. He had also spent all night planting fireworks all over the Great Hall, which would explode whenever the Weird Sisters, the band that was playing, played a song he liked.

I had only drank one butterbeer, yet I felt like I was in a haze.

There were so many people, so many beautiful dresses with their colors blending together, as everyone was dancing.

Hermione seemed to be having the time of her life too.

She looked excited and happy to have Viktor Krum as her partner, who seemed to love dancing with her.

Hermione had been especially secretive about tonight's ball and I now understood why. If Ron had known Victor Krum was her date, he would have made her life a living nightmare. She made sure that she wouldn't attract much attention. She had made me believe that she was not excited for this at all, yet here she was dancing like crazy, looking absolutely gorgeous.

Hermione's dress was magnetizing, moving with the flow of her body.

'I wonder where she kept this dress hidden all this time...'

Hermione not only had she made her dress herself, but she had also fixed the dress my mother had sent me. I decided to wear the dark green dress with Draco's pendant. The heavy velvet dress had a tight fit to my body and covered most of my skin apart from my neck, where the pendant with the green jewel was. It was a simple yet elegant look.

'She really is amazing' I thought and kept on staring at Hermione and Krum dance.

I hadn't stopped dancing myself and I only realized that George was gone, when he came back with more butter beers.

He held two on his hands, while two more floated above his head.

He said to me something that I couldn't hear, due to the loud music, so I followed him out of the crowd,to a table, where he put the beers on.

After a second, Fred Weasley and Angelina Johnson joined us.

It felt nice hanging out with them.

We all chugged the beers and chatted for a while.
