Early life....

My full name Is Araminta(aira-mint-a)Harriet Ross. I just so happened to be born in Dorchester County,Maryland. Which Maryland as you know is in the United States of America. I was  beaten by my master/employer, Edward Brodess, and was put to work at a very young age. My parents were slaves so I was born to slaves. My parents were Harriet("Rit") Green and Ben Ross. I had eight siblings, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. I was hired out when I was little. I suffered from a severe head wound when I was hit by a heavy metal weight. My injury caused me to have disabling seizures, have narcoleptic attacks, have a TON of headaches, and powerful visionary and dream experiences which had happened through out my entire life as a slave not being a slave.  I was a Christian. I had some really vivid dreams as I was a little girl.

In 1849, I had decided to escape to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After I got there and had a pathway I immediately came back to Maryland to rescue my slaved family. All they could say to me was,Thank you Harriet. One group at a time I brought all of my relatives out of the state. I eventually guided dozens of other slaves to freedom in other slave free states
