When Kayla showed up out of nowhere, she had two choices. Join Sapphire and get her soul back, or don't even bother to get her soul. Honestly, she did not need a soul to live! But, she needed a soul to love, to care about people. She knew she had to save her little sister. Holding the bloody sword that killed her sister, she knew she could not tell Asandra's husband, or her children more importantly. She knew the only person who she could tell was he sister's friend, the last guardian, Wolma. "Hm, this is going to be interesting," Kayla said in a Australian accent. She teleported to Wolma and told her of what happened. "oh...my...g-god," she said as she said starting to cry, determined to find sapphire and get Ink's soul back.

When they got to sapphire's lair, they saw Ink's soul. Sapphire was not there. They knew that it must have been a trap. Kayla walked up to the soul and grabbed it quickly. Alarms blared through out the room, ear piercing screams, and an army of bats coming to attack them.
