Chapter Twenty Five
~Violet's POV~

"Vi, get up." Someone shakes my arm. My eyes flutter open to see Teegan looking at me expectantly.

"What?" I ask her in confusion.

"I have to go to work today. So I need you to watch the kids." Yeah, thanks for the reminder that you got hired and I didn't. She goes to leave, but stops, turning her head back to face me. "Oh, and Jaxton is downstairs." And then she continues out of my room. What?! Why is Jaxton like almost always here when I wake up?

I get out of bed and go downstairs, finding him chilling on the couch. What does he think he is doing?!

"What do you think you are doing?!" I screech as soon as I see him, standing in front of him, blocking his view of the telly.

"I was watching the telly before you so rudely interrupted." He says as if it's obvious.

"Don't you have better places to be?" I ask, annoyed.

"Hmmm.... No." He says after a few seconds of mock thought.

"You can't just always be here when I wake up. It's creepy. And you don't live here so stop making yourself at home." I knock his feet off of the coffee table and grab the remote from him. He rolls his eyes.

"You don't know my life." He looks me straight in the eye, a challenging look in his, as he puts his feet back on the coffee table. Are you serious?!

"Have some respect." I demand.

"Have some respect." He mocks me, then straightens up. "I have a challenge."

Oh no. This can't be good.

"What is it?" I question, not able to refuse challenges.

"You be me and I be you. First person to break, loses." I be him? What does that even mean?

"Elaborate." I'm intrigued, I guess you could say.

"You act like me for the day. I'll be here to make sure you don't break. I do the same and we see who lasts the longest." Hmmm. This seems interesting. I mean I, for one, really want to see Jaxton Gunner be me.

"I'm in." I nod. He holds out his hand and I shake it. Let the games begin.

"Of course you are, I mean like why wouldn't you be? Like that is crazy. Oh my goodness! Like you are so predictable. Like what even?" He does an impression of me? That is not at all how I sound. For one, his voice is way too high pitched, but whatever. Either way terrible impression. Oh and don't even get me started on how many times he said 'like.'

"Dude, chill. Like don't even worry about it. Just stay out of my way or I'll fight you, but don't even worry." I say in my 'cool' voice. That, is what you call an impression.

"Oh my goodness!" He stands up all dramatically.

"Chill out, bro." I tell him, taking a seat and kicking my feet up on the coffee table.

"I will not chill out!" Seriously? I am nothing like this.

"Violet?" Iris asks, walking into the room.

"What's wrong?" Jax goes over to her, bending down to be eye level with her.

"I don't feel good." She whines. I jump up and go over there too. Forget this game. I'm me.

"Hey sweetie, come on." I grab her hand and walk her into the kitchen to get her some medicine. I turn to her, "what hurts?"

"My tummy." She says, looking sad. I nod and dig around for some medicine for her. I make her take it, even though 'it tastes nasty.' I send her back to bed.
