Four just asked to talk to tris alone

TRIS POV

i was silently freaking out when four asked to speak to me alone i watch him continue to look back at the group i think he's going to make a move on me i hadn't realised until four was clicking his fingers in front of my face and saying 'earth to tris' that I had zoned out i look at him 'yeah so what'd you want to talk about' he wipes his neck and tugs at his collar i found it so adorable 'will you help me... oh gosh hear it comes i lean forward slightly so he doesn't notice 'will you help me ask christina out' everything inside me deflates and i remember back in science how i always thought he was looking at me and saying those sweet things to me he was only practicing for christina when i thought he wanted to hang out with us because of me

when i thought he was watching me in gym no he was watching chriatina i sigh and look at him and mutter 'i will see what i can do' he grins and hugs me i don't have enough happiness in me even to be excited and i just pray for the rest of the week to pass and it does like a blur on friday afternoon i go buy a lot of icecream as i plan on drowning my sorrows in ice cream i put on sweats and put in pretty little liars i watch it all afternoon and fall asleep the next day i wake to a knock at the door i answer and see the last person i wanted to see four with some cookies at first i thought he was apoligising then i realise all new neighbours come around with cookies to introduce themselves

i groan and he looks at me he perks up and i know he's going to ask what i am going to hate to hear 'i am meant to be meeting my new neighbour but its you and we know eachother so are your parents here' i fake a smile 'no mums in Australia with my brother and my dads dead' i snap he shrugs 'so about the christina thing' i wince then slam the door in his face i go curl up in my blankets and continue eating my ice cream a couple hours later theres another knock i go answer and see lynn i remember we always go running on saturdays she takes one look around then at me and lets herself in i shut the door behind me and she makes her way to the couch once shes comfy she looks at me and says 'girl whats wrong' i think of lying but chose against it and blurt everything out 'i liked four and i though he liked me back but no he was using me cause he likes christina and now he wants me to get them together' she stands up and clenchs her fist 'I'm going to kill him' i jump up 'no lynn no' she sighs 'well he's not getting her we will make sure we make will and chris make out around four and make him realise shes taken and where gonna make you sexy as hell' she smirks i smile 'how is that gonna work' she grabs her phone and texts someone she then shows me it reads Will four likes chris show him shes youra whenever he's around

i smile he replys okay then deletes the text i smile 'nice' she then grabs my phone and makes a group text Truth or dare party/sleepover at my house tonight i smile we get a reply from everyone
