Heather's POV

It all started when my parents died. They were the only saviors of my life and my only TRUE love. My relatives never really cared. When we met, they would glare at my parents and I. So I didn't really talk to them since they were the worst.

When my parents died, I had no more money. I buried them in peace in our backyard. Since then, I lived alone in despair.

A few years after they passed, I didn't know that 1967 was the time of my life. There was a girl who got lost in the woods. She found me. She was all alone. We had only each other. That was the happiest time of my life. I smiled at her often because I had a feeling that we would be together long.

I think the girl has the same age as mine. 15. She had sparkling, blue eyes, and long, hazel hair. Probably because she was lost a long time and there was no one to cut it.

"What's your name?" I asked. She studied me with an unreadable face. Stepping slowly towards me, she smiled.

"I don't even know anymore. I think its Eleanor though. I dont remember because I was abandoned by my parents when I was young. And I didn't know what they called me. Since then, I lived alone." She replied nonchalantly.

I really do have a weird feeling that this girl was abandoned and lost for a very long time. That's the time when I knew that our lives were closely the same. Lives that are lonely, sad, and lost in their paths.

"W-well mine's Heather. Heather Radcliffe." I offered my hand to her.

She obliged. "Why're you lost here? Haven't you got a family? Or even relatives?"

I smiled sheepishly. "You wouldn't wanna know." I said.

"Please? I wanna know when we're the same." She pleaded. She did those puppy eyes, urging me to answer.

"Oh, fine." I replied.

"My parents passed away. And my relatives were my enemies. I didn't have money anymore, so I just learned to survive here, and live." I looked down when I told her. I just miss my parents so much.

She stared at me unconsciously, then got back to reality... She was daydreaming, I guess.

"We're pretty much the same. I was abandoned in the forest when I was about 5, because there was this war, and my mom and dad died. I hid in the mountains and survived, I lived alone since then." She replied looking down, tearing up.

"We're pretty much the same then. Stop being sad. I'm with you." I replied.

After that, we were together for five months; living together happily and with complete understanding.

Until something happened that took away every last bit of trust I had in her.
