 ALEISHA'S POV

My head was spinning with confusion. A tutor? I've never needed a tutor. I compose and straighten myself. Forcing a smile, I ask " I'm sorry Sir. I didn't quite get you."

"Miss Matthew, I suggest you get assigned to a tutor as you are one our most prestigious student and losing you will be losing a lot. So I have already thought ahead and assigned you a tutor so you won't have to go through the trouble of finding one."

"Mr.Winters. Would you please come here." Mr Stevens calls out.

I'm guessing this guy is going to be my tutor. I normally remember most of my classmates' surnames but he isn't ringing a bell.

"Yes, Sir. What can I do to help?" My to-be tutor, whose voice I recognise very well, asks.

I turn to face him. Of course, if it isn't Noah.

"Mr.Winters, from now on will be tutoring Miss Matthew for this subject." He says, giving us both a smile. "You can talk out the details later. Now go back to your seats." And with that, he waves us off.

Without a word, we both return to our seats. At least, I'm not the only one who's unhappy with the arrangement. I notice him still glaring at the side of my head as I take my seat, two seats beside him.

A few minutes later, while I'm taking down notes for the lesson, I feel something land on the floor next to me. I look down to see a crumpled paper lying next to my chair. I pick it up and try to read the scrawny handwriting on the paper.

We don't exactly have a choice, so where do you wanna meet up for our tutoring session?

-Noah

I turn to my left to look at him and mouth," Meet me outside." He nods and turns to the front. Soon, the bell rings and I pack my bag and leave the class with Noah behind me.

" So, where do you want to do it?" I ask once we're outside, in the hallway.

For just a fraction of a moment, his green eyes light up and he opens his mouth like he's going to say something but, in an instant, his eyes darken and a scowl replaces his wide grin. He shrugs.

" How about the library? " I ask once again, trying to forget what I just saw a minute ago.

" Yeah, that's fine. Meet you there at 5." He answers and shoves his hands into his pockets, walking away.

I stare at his back as he fades into the crowd of bustling students.

What was that?

I turn and start walking towards my American Literature class. Maybe that'll take his unusual behaviour off my mind. But, only for a while.

***
I park my car and get out. Walking towards the door, I try and fish for my keys from my bag. Once I get it, I push the door open and am immediately greeted by an excited bark. I kneel down and run my hand through Luke's fur. He looks up at me happily and walks into the house, me following.

It was currently 3:45, which meant I had one and a half hours left before my tutoring session.

I went to my room and decided to take a shower. I come out fifteen minutes later with a towel wrapped around me. I pick out a pair of black skinny jeans and a loose baby pink sweater. I brush my hair and leave it open.

I go downstairs, find myself something to eat and settle on the couch. I take my phone out of my bag which I left on the couch.

I see that Dae had replied to my message with an 'okay'. I had informed her earlier that I wouldn't be able to pick her up from practice.

I grab the TV remote and surf through channels. Finally settling on The 100, I lean back on the couch with a sigh.

~~~
Hey guys! I'm so sorry for the long wait. I've been in a writer's block and my mind was anything but productive.
